Hey

So i really wanna fix my ratio, ive been on this site for over a year and i'm ashamed to say my ratio is less given then got. I prefer to give games in groups, as i hate giving a game to ungrateful people, or people with bad ratio's.(done that way to much in the past.)

I also want to join some more groups.I did the social lff thing and it didn't work out.So now i'm looking for giveaway groups.

I dont like groups with lvl restrictions.
Don't mind bundled games( i get all my games from tremorgames)
Have a 1 vs1 rule( 1 won = 1 given).2 given for 1 won or worse ratio's are not my thing.

so suggest ya favo ga group in the comments

(playing matters i tried, i tend to keep my games lying around a while so that wasnt my thing.)

here it is, the ga link i promised in the votes https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/GS0X4/crankies-workshop-grizzbot-assembly (ended)

edit

okey, i got some good pointers from people, thank you

the problem i face at is that alot of these groups have people that tend to get more then they gift. If i give away a decent quality game i want it to go to someone that not only enjoys the game, but tend to give away games themselves, so that the site can stay afloat.

so my next, follow up question is, do you guys know of any ga groups that actively screen for those kind of people, or maybe have a point system in place, something like touhou ? https://steamcommunity.com/groups/touhou-ga

Hey,

Just launch a recent group with a curator page here recently.
For the moment I'm the one who made GA but hope other members will do sometimes.

However, I have no ratio rules or any obligation to do GA.
Actually, there's only one rule, "Be Nice"

Join if you want, it's free ^^

I really don't know which to select
like some groups that aren't open to everyone and that not require you to give back and only give people with a decent ratio sound good
like if you got a key you dont need for a game(decent or not) feels fine to give it there

that's an example of good ga groups

but yeah as you said, groups that got requirements , to me, are just a pain in the ass
like you need to be above level x
and some require you to giveaway a game whenever you win a game, so if someone got extra lucky and won a bunch of games there, he almost needs to sell his kidney so he give back games
and some require you ga and unbundled game every now and then, in my p.o.v, if I had the money to get a decent unbundled game, I'd get it for myself
like I'm not that rich xD

some find that kind of groups good cause it's organized and so

but it my opinion, giving away a game is never a must for a person
lile if you feel like giving it away and you dont need it , it's fine
but forcing a person to give a game away every now and then would probably milk him dry.

I guess some people have a different point of view than mine, but well , that's my opinion..... DEAL WITH IT xD

haha

i kinda agree with what ya said here, but sadly there are alot of people that just get the game and don't contribute in anyway.Thats why i founded the giveawaykingdom...if ya nice you can get all the games you want no matter if ya give games yaself.

yeah I get your point

but you seriously cant blame every person that haven't contributed to your group for example

on a hand , it feels bad to just take stuff from people but never give back
on the other hand, if a person "CANT" give back for his own reasons, whatever what they are, it's bad to just say that they're bad people

hmm i dont think i say they bad people, the way i see blacklists is * i dont want you to see my comments and or win any of the games i ga, and thats their right, they the ones that ga the game.

Let me try to get this straight:
You are perfectly okay to have 70% of your wins from public raffles, but you want to "balance your ratio" by shutting out as many people as possible through only gifting to small giveaway groups.

in the beginning, when i didn't realize how this site worked i entered a lot of public ga's cause i didn't realize there was the option to enter group ga's.If you want to give publicly, and risk the game getting to someone that doesn't contribute in ANY way to this site that's your thing, not mine.If there is a game i want in a public ga i will enter it, but mostly i enter group/wl/ invite only ga's cause there is less chance of the game going to someone i personally don't want to.

Anyway thank you for the response, i love discussing things with people:D

It is an interesting stance though, considering you are one of my many level 0 public winners, making yourself an actual living example of the kind of user you think does not exist. You even have 100% in that game (granted, since it is a HOG, that just meant all collectibles and not doing the easy way out in any puzzles or hidden object scenes ^_^).

what did i say about people entering public ga's?

i said the chance the game goes to a so called leecher is bigger, wich is a fact?

anyway thank you for the game? what game was it? i love hog's and i have ALPT of them.

The Secret Order 3 Ancient Times
You can check by going to your profile, clicking "won" and then looking juuuust left of the game's picture to see who sent it :D

i agree, and i could always blacklist people:P

il think about doing one, tbh never thought about fixing a entry lvl. What would be a good one?i find with those dollar bundles its so easy to get a high lvl.But then again you DID give something so it might be ok to win some too.

What kind of quality giveaways are you planning on making?

If mainly unbundled games, there are group like Atasuki, ELE, Top Notch Giveaways as a few examples.

For bundled groups, bundle quest, quality games giveaways, m7 giveaways, are a few that might interest you.

If you like trains, a group when you win a game you have to make the next giveaway to a point value, Jedi Training might be of interest.

Check the groups thread on discussion and see what you like.

All the best with your search and I hope you fine somewhere that fits what you're looking for.
