So what exactly are you looking for? Feedback? Or are you just collecting data from the survey and maybe how many people actually complete the game? Does the game keep secret metrics like how fast someone beat it, enemies killed, coins collected, etc. that it sends back to you?

I guess I'll also provide some feedback. Kudos to the person who did the art, the game looks good. Gameplay and level design feels clumsy though: I felt like the levels were empty for the most part (maybe add some stationary hazards like spikes, water, or whatever); switching weapons felt cumbersome and shooting most of them was counter-intuitive; enemies felt samey - didn't feel like each enemy is unique, more like slightly different; and, I didn't use dash or jetpack at all - didn't seem like there was a use for them since I still managed to get 52 points.

The game collects data throughout the game on your behaviour and it is sent to our database - there are around 50 different data points, which are collected including the 3 questions from the start.
Note: No sensitive information is collected, it's all from within the game and relates to your behaviour and performance.

Feedback is always welcome, as the game can be improved in various ways depending on this, however for the actual study purposes the data collected is sufficient.

Many thanks for the GAs!
Gotta say its a neat looking game, cute also.
Apart from missing 2 coins and the "P" to continue :P there is nothing wrong I feel.

Can't wait to see more of your game, I dig it

Interesting little game. For me, switching weapons wasn't intuitive for some reason, my reaction time switching to the proper weapon was slow (I always had to hesitate for a moment). Maybe that's part of the study? :)

Reaction time was not part of the study, though weapon usage is :)

It was fun, thanks for the GA´s
btw the game is a bit laggy
Also, those spiky dudes are tougher than anything else in the game, but they would be easily dealt with if the character movement wasn't so stiff and delayed
EDIT: 54points btw, ill probably go for 60 next time

Fun little game. I did not mind the movement, or the gun mechanics, it was all fun to me. The only thing that threw me off was the fact that you can no go down a bunch of stairs, instead you fall all the way down at once. :(

Received an exception error so I had to restart. (Firefox, firing shield gun at the time with a missile thing firing too, final level)
Spiky dudes need to be more hittable. They're too high and drop down on-top instead of in-front.
Bee boxes make me want to break them open Mario style. That's probably just an issue I have to deal with though.
Tutorial is really jarring. I'd rather a signpost with a tooltip styled message than pausing and covering the screen.
And yeah spacebar or any key should be used to continue the tutorial.

I liked having to go through again because I was annoyed so rushed through. Ended up feeling kinda badass when I was swapping weapons flawlessly. Just make sure that the levels are designed in a way that you can't just run past every enemy. Especially when they're short levels and the only drawback to death is starting the level again. It takes a lot of tension out of being hit. I thought it was neat though. I liked being a corgi.

Well it looks like you kept the whole four weapons thing, though this time it seemed like I at least had some more time to pick the weapon before running into the enemy which helped reducing fumbling around a little, but it still cropped up. Movement on the arrow keys is also still really bad because of this and just because people are used to WASD and have been for several decades by now. WASD doesn't appear to be used by anything now even, so you could just map both to movement if you wished.

The HTML version wouldn't work for me, so I downloaded it.

So cute! ♥ I don't know how much info you're wanting, but here's my input:

  • I had trouble remembering which gun to use on which enemy, so the pictures included by each was very helpful.
  • Controller support would be great.
  • If you're going to flesh it out into a full game at some point, it will need hidden areas / Easter eggs to add interest.

Loved it! Thanks for the fun way to get to your giveaways~! I entered a few of them.

Thanks for the feedback :)

As it stands now, this will only be used for the research purposes - though some elements might make it into a full game later on.

Thanks for the giveaways and good luck with your game! My only feedback is that I don't think bullets and enemies should be allowed to pass through walls.
