Anyway i wonder if it is tied in with gogo shutting down?

Seems likely related to the GoGo shutdown and possibly recent issues with Otaku. I don't know how the three sites are related exactly, but seems pretty plain there is some relation (Otaku and GoGo have the same design and pricing scheme, and most of OrlyGift's giveaways are games previously available at one or the other site).

It could be unrelated though, and might be reflective of their inability to get non-bundle games to "promote" through giveaways. I think it's been 3 or 4 months since they had a game that was not in one or the other bundle (not counting around Christmas when they had a single copy of Darksiders 3 to giveaway).

Who cares, you couldn't win anything if you weren't tryharding.
I liked that site when you had to review every game you got and that was fun. Chance to get one was also really good (like few % per draw and there were plenty of them). For some longer time already it's been like 0.1% per draw or even less.

I won 164 games without really tryharding...I'd just check the page every few hours and join the new round. I don't really get how you could "tryhard" on there tbh.

Without meaning anything else by it, let me say that I'm honestly more surprised to hear that someone still uses OrlyGift, than I am to hear that it may be dead. The site's long-standing user interaction issues aside, SG's community mostly stopped referencing the site [other than for the occasional guaranteed freebie] after it took a jump-the-shark approach to introducing pay-to-win mechanics, so it's been a good while since I've had reason to give the site any real thought. :P

iterform I thought it would be a good idea to burn through my credits in the shop if they go under because then the credits would be useless then. I'm sitting at 2,500 credits at the moment. If I use anymore of them and the giveaways do comeback my chances of being able to win are going to be really low, even now it would be somewhat low. This really sucks this is happening I do not know what to do.
My first year on orlygift I didn't even know about the credit shop, so I built up a nice amount of credits and would do pretty well on the giveaways once I had a nice amount of credits. I foolishly spent a lot of credits in the shop and missed out on winning a lot of games after that. I started to build up a little bit after but now I just spent 1,500 credits. I have no idea if the giveaways will comeback and it is putting me in a tough spot.
Today I purchased:
Neoballs = worked
Ragna Maya =worked
Burning Instinct = worked
iterform= duplicate

So games from Otaku 35 and 36 seems to be duplicate, you should check which games from their shop were from most recent Otaku/Gogo bundles and don't purchase them. GogoBundle site is not working so something is up.

Thanks, that info is helpful, I'm also contemplating spending credits in the shop.

Bought 10 games. TYPICAL NIGHTMARE was used and LONG ROAD was used and actually key for TANK SOULS.

Typical nightmare was probably revoked. I guess the dev had part of it right when they chose to revoke it. Obviously it means that games meant for bundles (in the contracts with the devs) were also put on the credit shop

I just spent all my credits so rip winning any giveaways if they ever do comeback. This is pretty depressing, I was so used to entering the giveaway every hour on there. FML. First Tremor Games goes under and now this happens.
Anyway, happy cakeday Alban4eg.

Well, at least I got 90 games from them over the course of a year (give or take). Too bad, though. I had also gotten used to their hourly giveaways, as Cole pointed out above me.

In any case, I would advise you all to just get a game or some games (depending on your credits) from the shop and say "goodbye".

Oh yeah, and Happy Cake Day!!!

I've checked whois of the 3 wbesites (Otaku, Gogo & Orlygifts).
It seems that both Otaku & Gogo domain names were registered by a small company called OVH (http://www.ovh.com) which rents out servers, storage, domains, etc. So it seems probable they were both created/maintained by the same person/people.
Orlygifts, on the other hand, was registered by GoDaddy (a large website building platform), so it seems unlikely it's creators are the same as Otaku & Gogo.

EDIT - Additional info:

Seems that OrlyGifts was registered by: Orlyapps - Janzen & Strauss GbR

Orlyapps is a game and app studio based in Oldenburg (Germany).

Here is the whois info showing it's them: https://www.whois.com/whois/orlygift.com

Here is their profile on Unity assets store: https://assetstore.unity.com/publishers/9847

This is their website with full info on the founders: https://orlyapps.de/

One of the founders is Florian Strauss: https://www.xing.com/profile/Florian_Strauss2

The other founder is Christian Janzen: https://www.xing.com/profile/Christian_Janzen6

by a small company called OVH

Small?

As of 2018, OVH has 27 datacenters in 19 countries hosting 300,000 servers

In the fiscal year of 2016, OVH reportedly had €320 million in revenue.

small-ish?

It's pretty small compared to its main competitors: Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure.

And it's relatively small compared to GoDaddy I mentioned later on.

I was trying to check some of the games that they have on the shop and because I wasn't paying much attention I just middle clicked on the blue buttons assuming they would take me to a confirmation page with a link to the store page of the game or something, instead it just sent me straight to the keys themselves without any sort of confirmation. So I ended up wasting my points in shitty games one of which was a duped key and one that I already owned.
Maybe someone wants my spare f*ck up: https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/uSIIh/pathos

Oh well... if there aren't many outlets for people to sell their trash games, maybe they'll be forced to work at making games that are enjoyable to play and not just +1s for people's libraries.

I remember Orlygift and was using it for a couple of days but it was a complete waste of time.
You couldn't compete with old users which had way more points than me, and I figured that many of them took advantage of a bug or glitch which made it possible to gain many points. These unfair conditions for new users were very bad for Orlygift's business model, so there's no surprise that they will probably go offline now.
