Fight in the Arena - a text-based RPG with turn-based fights

Hey!

Last month, I released a new game called Fight in the Arena. After I made Sonucido: The Mage, I wanted to create something smaller and made a text-based RPG with a turn-based fighting system. I really liked the complex turn-based fights in Dungeon Rats and A Legionary's Life and wanted to create my own turn-based fighting system.

The story is straightforward: You fight in the arena to get money and more experience until, ultimately, you are aiming to earn the title the Indomitable. Aside from the fights there are a few skillchecks and some optional things you can do.
You need to replace equipment and often need to weigh the options: Do you get some work outside the arena to earn some much needed money or do you train more to get more experience.

Two days ago, I released a big update which improved the game and added the German localization.

The game is available for 3.99$/€ on Steam and Itch.

Hey,

Desktop Dungeons is certainly a great game. Fight in the Arena is a text adventure with a turn-based combat system, obviously that is not everybody's cup of tea and that's fine, people have different tastes. Have fun with Desktop Dungeons: Rewind tomorrow! :)

Full Changelog

Updated the Engine from Godot 3.5.2 to Godot 3.5.3
Removed one double space in the German localization
Fixed a lot of misspellings in the English localization
Fixed a few misspellings in the German localization
Improved the wording of a few sentences in both languages
Added some missing words in the English localization
Added two new pieces of armor to the market for higher price points
Hid an option in two cases if you had less money than required because selecting it would do nothing if you had not the required amount
Fixed a bug where a variable wasn't reverted which could lead to less money after the last tournament
