They are not selling the game anymore. So I at least don't see the moral issue in buying a leftover key somewhere. It's not like you lower their winnings by buying it. :)

They'll probably help you. That actually can be a great indicator that they have so many keys that they can throw another one at the problem, which is what has happened to me twice out of the two times I had issues with my key. They probably have their own clientelle now and G2A/Kinguin is just a storefront to them, rather than an active marketplace where they're peddling their crap off.

I have been using Kinguin almost exclusively for purchasing games for awhile now. I rarely do have a problem, but on both occurrences where I did have a problem, (the problem was actually my fault, accidental purchases) Kinguin support staff was able to completely resolve the issue. They give 3-5% off coupons for your next order if you do run into any problems as well.

It's very unlikely these keys were illegitimately bought solely because you can't buy them anymore. Haven't been able to for a while. This is most likely a bulk buyer selling off his flunking stock or a different storefront throwing their keys to somewhere more popular and selling at a loss.
It's still possible that it's an illegitimately bought key, but the likelihood is probably just as low as just buying a key from a site like GMG and hoping that Ubisoft doesn't cancel those keys again.

I actually looked into it before buying it and found several posts indicating it was a simple file edit to enable English but that didn't turn out to be the case. I actually own several other Russian games but those all have separate appids so I was able to install both versions and copy the files over. As I don't own an alternate version of this though I'd have to pirate it.

As far as I was aware at the time that would have required pirating the game to acquire the files. I wasn't aware of using the depot to download alternate files at the time.

Let me put it blunt, I don't understand you people this game was removed it is no longer possible to be bought and you still get it but getting another version for the English files is wrong.
As some one that got a A+ on ethics in my CS master degree, I can't understand this at all :)).
If you are that ethical sort of, then either use the guide that was provided in here or add me on steam and I will search for the files and put them on a drop box for you, simple as that :D.

Damn, I really don't understand you, you can't pirate files, files are not protected by a copy law protection anything, there are not products.
You already have the game, only copy you know some files that contain translations of words from RU to English and maybe English audio that for 90% of the products is the standard.
As I said how using the English files of the files that you have, your file are used by 10% of owners aka the RU ones.
You can see it as modding nothing more, now this is also pirating or not ethical.
And also the game is from Activision and we are talking about ethics :))).

It is wrong for anybody to distribute anything that is a part of a copyrighted work without permission from the owner of said copyrighted work.
You get into grey areas when you have derivative works, but I'm unaware of any derivate software that was able to use an enitre dataset from another copyrighted work.

EDIT: Unless that's the "Germany, Switzerland, Norway" thing and that somehow overrides Valve's EU-specific override of their RU activation lock.... but Switzerland and Norway (and Turkey and Serbia) aren't EU to begin with and thus the game shouldn't activate.

For this price it's a steal. It's way better than 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' but worse than 'Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions'. I paid 6.75€ for each of them when they were available on Humble and they were worth the price except for 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' which is pretty annoying at times and has a lower overall quality.

Achievements are always in English, only the localization(text/audio) is in Russian. But if the case is that and since it also downloads the English content you(we) can just edit RU folder to EN and the contrary. But the first one i'm pretty sure it can't be even started if not the the lock countries.
