"Point'n'Click games are for old people." - yes, I am old!
The game is somewhere on my "I want to play" list, but it is a rather large list that is not getting smaller.

I like the look of this game. I'll be keeping an eye on it. Thanks for the heads up.

I fell in love with point-and-clicks back in 1997 (I was 12). So yeah, by now I'm definitely old, gimme my point-and-clicks! I thought I'd buy this one on release, but spent so much on the sale that it'll wait for now.

Old timer here all right. So where's this P&C party?

I like point 'n click games, and hearing you rave about the demo like that convinced me to add it to my wishlist! Thanks for the rec, Eeev, and also for the Mutazione GA! :)

It's basically Bastion, just p&c.
If you wanna give their earlier works a try, they are free and on itch.io:

Very well worth your time as well :)

The demo is still availbale over on itch.io, if you care: https://powerhoof.itch.io/the-drifter

sweet, just wishlisted it. looks like old school PnC, sounds quirky and music seems cool too (reminds me of some irving force songs... just seems to be trailer music though, i just checked gameplay and there its more ambience...well, cool anyways :D )
and thanks for the jigidi! :)

OOoooh looks great! Has this retro gorgeous pixel art feels that takes me back to the golden age of PnC Lucas Arts games.
Wishlisted. Thanks for shining a light on another great indie, Eeev
Mutazione is also a really nice game. One of my favorite wins.

It looks gorgeous so that alone is enough reason to me for wishlisting it, I love bold pixel art after all, but then the "fast-paced point and click" part has me very intrigued. Only P&C game I can think of where there's a constant sense of urgency is McPixel and its sequel McPixel 3, but those have a very different vibe from this.
So thanks for bringing this game to my attention, and for the GA too of course ;)

Hey eeev, thanks / dankeschön for the recommendation!
I'm a big point n click lover and these game were recently the games, i could finish the most easily - because they hooked me up the most. (Recently Kathy Rain 1+2, Whispers of A Machine etc)
I put it on my wishlist and will try the demo version. I may buy it soon, because i got some money in the last time and we should support these small indie adventure devs :), even though my backlog shouldn't allow it, i may just play it through, because point n' click can often finished in a fair amount of time :D
Thanks for spreading the word for such a game, it looks very cool&nice and cool that it is comparable to Bastion, i liked the narrator and the calamity.
And also thanks for the jigidi / giveaway, i already own it, but good luck to everyone else!
If you wanna talk about point n click games or recommendations, i can drop you some too :)

Thanks for directing my eyes, and linking the demo :)
Checked out their game page and suddenly, I have a lot of fantastic-looking pixel art p&c indies added to my to-play list!
Aside, I wonder why devs have to remove demos from their Steam pages, especially when it's still available on other sites 🤔
Thank you for the giveaway of a wonderful game!

I was hyped but actually find it a bit overhyped, lots of talking (while the story is unusual) but the puzzles are few and just too easy.
If you want a story game, sure get this, if you want a true old point and click adventure, there are plenty of better ones.

Lately I have gotten pretty bored of "true old point and click adventures", because the humor was just too silly, the puzzles too obtruse or the story just utter nonsense.
This game tickles my fancy because it seems to be produced with the actual mature gamer in mind who doesn't care all that much about toilet humor or the nth reference to adventure games from ages ago.
It's a great story, delivered in a smart and entertaining way, it looks great, it plays great, it's got a decent price tag: it's awesome!

Hello community.
I'd like to direct your eyes at a game that released yesterday:
The Drifter
A Pulp Adventure Thriller - A murdered drifter awakens. Alive again, seconds before his death. Hunted and haunted, help him untangle a mad web of conspiracy in this fast-paced point 'n click thrill-ride.
The demo is still available on itch.io: https://powerhoof.itch.io/the-drifter
There are quite a couple of other projects of this dev on itch as well, well worth checking out, since they are free :)
I had put this game on my wishlist after having tried the demo during a next fest in 2019. It was hands down the most thrilling demo I had ever tried, and I was continuously checking in the game's discussions to see if there was any progress.
And it finally released yesterday!!
Reviews so far are raving, as expected. I very rarely buy games on release day, but this one had to be bought straight away.
Gotta spread the word!
And with that, I'll leave everyone with an obligatory giveaway.
Spoiler warning: it's not for The Drifter, but it's for another point'n'click game Mutazione, so we stay true to the genre ;)
Let's get ready to solve!
Disclaimer: This is not my game nor am I in any way related with or tasked by the developer to promote their game. I'm just an excited fangirl who wants to express her excitement.
Have fun playing y'all!
Edit: Oops, the game in the poll is not what I was getting at. Seems the one has not been added to the database yet. Please ignore that one (can't edit).
