Sleight of hand

So over a year ago, Zombie Driver HD game was given away for free, but today I found myself possessing a key for its Ultimate Collection (base game + dlcs). I also noticed that said game was not listed in my badges (so no cards).

And so my little observation was made, that redeeming Ultimate Collection gave me back the possibility of getting cards. You could call it a trick for finally getting cards from games that you acquired for free with cards turned off. Not sure if this was public knowledge or not, you can tell me in the poll.
