Of course Minit had to be tier 3 -.-. Hopefully the bundle is matched on Steam. If not, I'll have to think about which tier to get :/.

TBH Humble could easily do a "complete your bundle" as well, they have my steam account synced so they know which games I already have. So for example: 0,5$ for each unowned game from tier 1 ($1 divided by number of games), $1.55 for each unowned from tier 2 (BTA minus $1 divided by number of games) and $3.68 for each unowned from tier 3 (tier 3 price minus BTA divided by number of games), minus $2 for monthly sub if buying tier 3.
I bet it would get them much more sales, and would be even better for the devs concerned about extra keys flying around, because many people just wouldn't buy these extra keys. Before someone shouts "easy to abuse!" how about that: you can buy "complete your bundle" only once, each further time you need to buy the full bundle at full price; also prevent from (re)linking the same steam account to a different hb account (if it's not already in place).
But seeing how humble hasn't even integrated steam sync to humble store (which is why I don't even bother browsing their sales), I don't really see them going this path, so yeah, let's hope there's an accompanying steam bundle as well...

Doubt it. The bundle was not too attractive being US only and additionally conceived as an expensive blind purchase bundle of indie games only. While I prefer indies, many people don't.

Crossing Souls was in the original plan for the Day of the Devs bundle but DD probably felt it best to feature it in the new Lootcrate bundle instead and pulled it from Day of the Devs.

When it happened the deal was better on Steam if you wanted to go for the highest tier but already owned some of the games.

I don't remember exactly, I think I had most games so it was more interesting for me to get it on Steam.
But I just realized it was 2 years ago and not last year, last year there wasn't a Steam bundle so it might not happen this year either.

Remember - if you are not happy with the direction Humble Bundle is heading you can always let them know by changing default money split between devs/charity/humble.
It's up to you to decide if they deserve the tip.

You don't know anything about their profit margins, or how well the store and Monthly are selling.
About Monthly, specifically, some here are constantly complaining about the store credit promos etc, as "Humble being desperate" which they are likely not entirely incorrect about: if Monthly was selling like hot cakes, they wouldn't probably see recurrent promotions, as well as extra unlocks before the full reveal, those are clearly moves to increase sales.
Even if Humble is in the black (we don't know), it's pretty reasonable to assume that, especially with the larger players (think Blizzard), they are asked to sign contracts binding them to perform to certain standards.
Remember a business that isn't independent, does not necessarily need to be bleeding money in order to fail, all it has to do is to underperform expectations. At which point IGN can decide they're not interested in the investment anymore, and pull the plug.
What we DO know is that Humble had to lay off employees previously, and that isn't a sign of a business that is thriving.
So please, anybody who's got to the bottom of this post, if you like having Humble Bundle around, don't set the slider to zero just because.

Never seen a HB bundle with only 2 games in tier 1. Maybe Crossing Souls was supposed to be tier 1 and they backed out last minute?

Well, that's just too bad. Been waiting for this since the leak and considered even a tier 3 purchase had they included RiME, Crossing Souls and Minit. The way it is crafted now I might just get the Fanatical bundle for RiME, since I'm only slightly interested in Minit, Crossing Souls is not even there and I already own or am not interested in the rest, and maaaaayyyyyybe try to snatch Burly Man on Tremor or try to win it.

I felt exactly the same way, but considering the $1 tier also comes with both DRM-Free versions and Burly Men on Android, I went for that.
Yooka-Laylee could be something worth keeping for trading/giving but it has the usual Team17 Region Restrictions which is a nightmare if you're not in a ROW area.
