Just because you can get this does not simply make you a "genius", different geniuses are geniuses at different things. A Mathematical genius might be excellent at Mathematics but not good at music. Then that takes a musical genius to be excellent at music, you can't simply be a genius unless you specify what genius you specifically mean. I think to have a high IQ you need to be good at understanding and creating things, you first need to understand to create. Intelligence i believe can't simply be ranged because someone might be good at one thing and shit at the other, so you cannot simply range it. You might be retarded on one day and gifted on another, IQ tests are flawed. I do believe performance in people's intellectual abilities can be good on one day and decent on another, or just downright shitty though (Come on, the person could be tired and/or restless!) but there isn't a universal intelligence, so it can't be ranged simply. What i am saying is, you can't simply be a genius, a genius at what? Too vague, IQ is more complex than that. I am crap at Mathematics but great at Music (And other things), so i guess that makes me not a "genius" at this puzzle? Simply being able to understand knowledge is one thing but using is another thing, even at that IQ is the creation of thought processes ranging from simple to complex.

You're way overthinking this.
I think the modern usage of 'genius' probably began somewhere around the renaissance period, where 'geniuses' were -that- type of intelligent. They were much broader in their attemps to study and create, etc, back then compared to the more focused ways we have now. The 'renaissance men' who were dubbed geniuses were fluent in basically everything possible: literature, politics, engineering and mathematics, science, music, design, painting and sculpture. I think that's probably where it caught on, and then was adopted much later to be inclusive of people who were just really good at one thing.
Again, though, I think you've overthought this. The title was used ironically.
(And my usage of 'ironically', there, was ironic, too.)
