Windows 7 is not gaming compliant? Or are you referring to the attempt using rh7? Because yeah redhat is shut for gaming and uses almost totally hardware and hard firmware patches to run shit all. But it's an awesome platform for forced software. Ever try to force a clie with palm os? Redhat makes it easy.

It runs just fine on 7, any issues are with your setup/

No drm. The "firewalls" I refer to and why they're in quoted is that I have to disable my network proxy to install. Keep in mind, I was able to dl it.
Edit: I should clarify that I've had to reset my windows settings for default port protocols and have had to allow windows power settings just to try to install.

Keep in mind that I was sarcastic.
If you are having problems running the game that doesn't everybody else has too. Its more probable that there is minority of those who cant start the game.
So, in stand of spouting on of rare consumer friendly game providers, you maybe should just ask their support for some help.
GoG's forum might have some info you need.

I am trying this on a 32 and 64 bit architecture. Using two operating systems and am hitting a wall at the end of the install process. I am currently using gogs support but not unlike here, their support is slow as ****. This isn't an os or processing problem. This is a distribution problem. The distro has a huge hangup from gog, this is what i am bringing awareness to.

Complaining about a game you got for free, that's kinda bad. Santa won't give u any presents this year ;D

Are you using the download client or something? if you get the drm free setup links you shouldn't have to redownload anything again unless your downloads got corrupted or you talking about some sort of update, but non are GOG's fault that you have to redownload anything again.
About the firewall issue, most don't have that problem so it's not saying worse then gta 4 or saying anything else.

If you want to launch it from Steam, it's perfectly possible, just go to the Games menu and select "Add Non-Steam Game to My Library". If you want GOG to gift you both GOG.com and Steam versions, I would bet you're out of luck, and rightfully so.

I just installed The Withcer 2 from gog.com, the only problem I'm having are FPS drops but that's because I have a low end PC. It must be a problem with your PC.
And btw, why firewalls? The game doesn't need any internet conection, if you can download stuff in your browser then there shouldn't be any problem ._.

You know GOG actually has pretty decent tech support? Why don't you go pester them and see if they are kind enough to help you out?
Just try to act a lot nicer than a spoiled child okay?

It ran on Ultra for me, while GTA IV still ran like shit, but still better than SR2 xD

Yeah the gog downloader is not good, you should get it without (or some other download program), often you get faster speeds too, then you don't have to keep redownloading stuff and you just get the installer files.
The downloader isn't being focused on as they are working on Gog Galaxy, but it's not very clear when that will come.

Because after trying to install it on windows 7, it's a gigantic no go. It's worse than grand theft auto 4 (which is saying something). I have to reconfigure several "firewalls" on windows to allow its install and then download it again. For the third time I'm asked to download 15 gigs of data. What in the ever lasting **** was GOG thinking.
