When I say I have no way to get it that means I have no way to BUY it. I have no money. Even my rent is going to be short this month.

Been there, done that. Wishing you all the best for your future financial situation and obtaining SimCity <3

It'll probably go on sale again at some point. And even if it's not, it's still a pretty cheap game at $10.

Sounds like my own situation. Here's hoping our financial situations improve, soon.

Hmm ... the Ultimate Edition of DA:O is really tempting. I always postponed buying it on Steam,
because I have completely played through the base game on rental disc many years ago. I never
had the chance to play Awakening. I just have the feeling that I won't be able to play it anytime soon,
that game is such a time killer ... so I'm not really certain if I should buy it now, or just wait for the next
X-Mas sale. Does anyone know how long these deals are gonna last anyway? I can't seem to find any
information on that.

I played all the DLC, except awakening.

The Stone Prisoner* is worth playing as part of the main campaign. It slots in seamlessly and gives an extra character, a golem.
Warden's Keep and Return to Ostagar also slot into the main campaign, but aren't really worth it

A Tale of Orzamar* and Lelliana's Song are both prologues, although Lelliana's song shouldn't be played until you've played the main game through. If you like her character, play her prologue. A Tale of Orzamar is forgettable

The Golems of Amgarrak and Witch Hunt both take place after the game. The former is forgettable, the latter extends Morrighan's story. If you like her story, play it.

The Darkspawn Chronicles is an alternate version of the final battle, played from the perspective of the monsters.

IMO, The Stone Prisoner is the only must-play DLC, and it's available for free. IF you like their characters, Lelliana's Song and Witch Hunt add to their stories, and if you like the idea of playing as the monsters, Darkspawn Chronicles is a fun diversion. The rest is just more of the same, and generally not as good

*the stone prisoner and a tale of orzamar are both available for free

Any word on if they'll do the connect thing for those?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Not that I know, but with more EA games coming, I don't think they'd do that in the near future.

Permalink

I won't buy them anyway because EA games are not for Linux but it's great to see them sold as DRM-free on GOG.

So mass effect 1,2,3 with all dlc without the need to buy bioware coins.... That would be a great day if that happens.

Holy fuck, that'd be fucking orgasmic.
Stupid bioware points, they should have been dumped many decades ago.

Yes that invention was the best excuse ever to pirate something.

Indeed, even more so when I already owned the DLC on the Xbox and ain't gonna pay for them again, not at full price.

I would rebuy the games if they come and maybe even if the rebate is only 50% :-)

I have rebought the games on PC, but not the DLC, that's what I'm coming at. Not only you need to purchase Bioware points, but you will NEVER find them at a discounted price. Since Mass Effect 2 launched (2010), no Bioware points pack or DLC has gone on sale on PC.

WHAT. THE. HELL.

I'd pay 60 Euro for the trilogy if it would release like that. And I never paid that much in one sum for games.

Nice to see EA supporting DRM free. One day I'll get to play Dragon Age. I had the Origin version since about release date and only played part of the introduction.

They had a GOG catalogue for some time, and I think these were all Origin On the House freebies anyway, so probably it is even beneficial for them now to let them go DRM-free.

This is pretty awesome, jumping on SimCity 3000 for sure. SimCity 3000 hits that sweet spot feel of the old Maxis humor/atmosphere in a reasonably modern package that is casually accessible yet still has some depth. This gives me renewed hope that some of the older Maxis titles might get the GOG treatment at some point, stuff like The Sims, Sims 2, SimTower, SimGolf, SimEarth, SimAnt, etc.

I check GOG daily and saw the announcement this morning. I'm tempted to pick up Dragon Age even though I own it on Origin. I managed to snag a DA:O UE Origin key for $5 back in the Winter sale from Gamestop. I haven't played it yet though and I kind of forget that I have it. The only other games I own (besides the ones I got free from their on the house deal) is Battlefield 3 and 4. I haven't played those in a while, so I never fire up Origin.

Good to see all these games on GOG. However, GOG connect was a big gimmick. Haven't been able to port a single game from steam to GOG connect. Is there a forum or a group which track when GOG update that list?

There's been threads about it here when it happens, and of course, the GOG forum, but I don't think any of the unofficial GOG groups on steam really tracks it..

And my GOG library has grown quite a but due to connect. MOO 1-3, Door Kickers, Surgeon Sim, GalCiv 3, Two Worlds, Broken Sword, Trine, VVVVVV, Shadowrun Returns, Xenonauts, Saint's Row, Van helsing 1-3, Breach & clear (+ Deadlines), Bit.Trip. Runner & Braid

/edit/ Brian knew better than me.

Thanks for the update buddy. Most of the games were added on Day 1. It's a downward spiral after that. I missed on so many games like Door Kickers, Broken Sword, Shadowrun Saint's row and Van Helsing. I guess I was late to the party. I am following the group that Brian Mentioned now. I hope I don't miss the new additions. :-)

More games is always nice (even if Spore is utter pants), but why is The Saboteur so expensive? Here it costs 5€ on Origin, yet it's 20€ on GOG.

I doubt they have, but does this mean they patched The Saboteur? There was an annoying bug that made the map unusable that made the game practically unplayable for me.

GOG games are DRM-free, so they don't come with any serial keys/codes to enter into Origin. Perhaps you could take a crack at it with Origin Support, but I'm not sure how that would go. :)

Finally, the Saboteur... price is a bit steep in comparison to the 5 bucks on Origin itself, but wishlisted for sure.
I need to run GOG more often, thanks for the info.
