What's your all time favorite FPS gun?

never played a half life myself, so not a clue what that pistol can do, though the pistol in rage was pretty fun

I agree! For some reason, it's a super satisfying gun to shoot.

In what game? The AK in counter-strike has always been pretty great.

+1 for M1 Garand, awesome reload system.

Exactly what I was going to mention. If for no other reason then the terror it caused in your opponents when they heard the whine of it flying through the air. And then there was the fact that if they didn't evade it they were subjected to a protracted death they were helpless to stop with a VERY gory finish.

The only other FPS weapon I know of to inspire that much terror and scrambling from players hearing it is the redeemer from the first Unreal Tournament. I could chase people all over the map with that thing. Down hallways, elevator shafts, between girders, pretty much everywhere. You could even sneak it up the side of a building and kill snipers. They could hear it coming but couldn't see it til it was too late and you had detonated it. If the blast didn't kill them the splattery impact of being knocked off a roof would.
