The 1050 is a much better card than the R7 240. The 240 was a low budget card and is nowadays even more outdated.
Go for the 1050 or if your budget allows it a 1060.

Thank you. If there was enough budget, I'll probably buy brand new PC, but sadly It doesn't :D

What's your budget? What you need the gpu for (what games you play, do you need it for video editing / CAD)?
What power supply do you have?

The 1050 Ti is a solid card and the price isn't too bad either. The 1060 3gb from same seller is a noticible upgrade over the 1050 Ti and it sells for a very reasonable price. However it does require pcie connector from your power supply (as well as powerful enough psu to run the system).

If you just want a plug and play solution, get the 1050 Ti.

Assuming you're from the UK and you're willing to give second hand GPUs a try, check out CEX. https://uk.webuy.com/search?categoryIds=892&categoryName=pci-express-graphics-cards

If you're not too fuzzed over graphics, a 750 Ti 2gb might be good enough for you. Those sell for 60 quid second hand. If you're wondering on the performance difference between cards, here are some good sites to look at: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html
https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/

Ultimately, the easiest way to check GPU performance is to just search youtube with your specs (ie. AMD FX-8320 GTX 1050 Ti)

Oh, and for gaming, the r7 240 is rubbish.

Picking up a used 960 might be good for you, while you wait to get an entirely new computer.
