none of them had that til the ps2 then the initial ps3s. The xbox360 can play a lot of xbox games. Wii can play all the gc games. Look at the systems. Nes, snes, n64, gamecube. Maste system, genesis, saturn, dreamcast. none of which had any backwards compatiblity.
regauding pc. The older pc games are run on emulators, otherwise they would not work with modern oses. So many older xp games will not work with vista or 7. All sytems have poblems with this.
If you like japanese games, consoles are generally a must(unless all you play is porno games or some mmos). Dragon's dogma may come out on pc as they are exploing it. But most anime based games never make it. Jrpgs are also rae.

Actually older PS3s (like mine) do let you play PS3 games.
But they took it out to make the system cheaper and so they weren't selling only 5 a week lol.

A 360 is pretty much a dumbed down PC since they share lots of games. (L4D1/2, Splinter Cell Conviction, Witcher 2, Alan Wake, SMB and others.)
PS3 has less exclusives but it has better ones then the 360, since the 360 pretty much only has Gears of War and Halo.
PS3 is a better system to me. Not only because games but free online. (the store is kinda annoying though)
PC+PS3 is a great combo. (since lots of console exclusives and PS3 exclusives)
PC+360 is pretty meh. You get the console exclusives but won't be getting many good 360 exclusive games. Unless you really like kinect crap.(I ready to watch MS E3 2012 for some good laughs. Kinect doesn't suck! Look at this hardcore game we are making for it! Just like Gunslinger.)

I happen to like blue dragon, lost oddessy etc. The one thing that bothered me on ps3 is that you need to install the games. You cannot simply pick any game you feel like playing and pop it in. you also have to uninstall a game you are playing to do so.

Most people wouldn't know of 'em/care for them. I have heard good things of Lost Oddessy though.
It's only a one time thing and they usually are pretty fast. I just go do something else for a little bit.

Okay seriously can you please tell me whats do good about the new Gundam's I haven't seen one all the way through since Wing and the only two I've finished are Wing and G Gundam I love the models and games but seriously the newer series just don't seem to hold my attention.. [Haven't tried AGE yet oh and also I'm aware that SEED is older and this is probably gonna be based around the movie thats coming out]

The ones that come close are 00 and turn a. If you want to see uc, the best are zeta and victory. original is next then zz is last. This game has many series and is alredy out. you cn get it for $32

yeah. all ps3s are region free as far as i know. Play asia has a list of games which will not work on you local system. You may not be able to access dlc directly. Meaning you may need a japanese psn account which is not hard to make. I'd recommend this, also the gundam games. Lots of good crossover games. If you enjoy final fantasy tactics with even a bigger cast then the one above. super robot wars. i got one which has everyone from evangelion, to gunbuster to macross to gundam. the new ones are all voice acted and have really nice animations. thought htey tend to be very story heavy so you will loose some. Games likethis are quiet easy to play. I have a ton of ps2,psx and psp japanese games. I forgot i got import game cube as well!
