Game Transfer to New PC Via Disc Drive

I'm about to start building a new PC. I already have Skyrim installed on my other PC, which was installed using the disc(not digital download). I was wondering if it was possible yo reinstall the game on my new PC by using the same installation disc and just signing into my Steam. Is it? If not, are there other ways to transfer it over easily?

What do you want to transfer?
The installed games in your steam library?
Then just copy your "SteamApps"-Folder to the new machine: finished :)

While I can't say with 100% certainty, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to.
