Hello guys, a friend of mine was apparently scammed when he tried to trade with someguy, he sent him the gift first but when he asked him to send what he was asked, he was stalling him!
My friend bought the game from the steam store,is there any chance to get what is rightfully his??

All wrong. The one who was given the gift has to mark it for a refund, the gifter will then be able to apply for a refund and will be refunded the money if eligible. Did it last week, works if you're below two hours of play.

Like I said, I did it last week and got a refund for both games, gift and own copy. Wasn't a bundle deal either. Wouldn't even make sense to have the option to mark a game for refunds if gifts weren't eligible.

This happened to me and, unfortunately, steam is not helpful. They pretty much will tell you that you oughta know better:
"We sympathize with people who fall victim to scams, but we provide enough information on our website and within our trading system to help users make good trading decisions. All trade scams can be avoided."

As everyone else said, I'd report him to steam, report him on steamrep, and if you know his username here or on steam, make sure to leave negative feedback so other people are aware. I'm sorry this happened to your friend.
