GTX 670 is a beast for price/performance. It's going in the rig I'm buying today. Nvidia really stepped on their own feet with this release. I don't see a reason to get a 680 now.

same changing 680to 670 and i7to i5 is gonna save me £200 and i think il buy liquid cooling giving myself better performance and a extra £100:D

Sounds like a plan. That's what I did as well, going with a 3570k and Asrock Z77 extreme4(buying both takes $50 off the mobo with the promotion going on in microcenter.) As for cooling I'm still sticking with a cheap ol' Hyper 212 Evo. I'm not looking to hit crazy high clocks, I'll be fine with ~4.2ghz :)

In comparison to the 680, 1 SMX is disabled on the 670, so it has less Cuda cores, and the 670's PCB is noticeably shorter than the 680's. As you can see here , 670 top, 680 bottom.
