Do you think Minecraft will ever hit Steam since it's been bought by Microsoft?

once their site sales drop enough, and they start wanting to refresh the money train, they will look into alternatives i bet, so i say yes, someday in a year or more

I wait the day when Micro$oft decides to add ads into the Minecraft Launcher, and also ads into in game menu. It will be a tragic day.

As soon as the sales drop down a lot, microsoft will get rid of the dev team and put minecraft in their "marketplace" they can't keep sales up forever. I'll bet by 2017 the current dev team will be gone, microsoft will have a minecraft 2.0 written in C, as well as skins and resource pack dlc like there is on the xbox version. It will make it to steam in a few years.

Pocket Edition is already mostly written in C++

Getting the whole thing there shouldn't be much of a stretch.

From what I heard, because Minecraft has its own account system with Mojang servers, it'll create conflict between the two. Though having a Steam-dedicated Minecraft version isn't a bad idea.
Besides we have like millions of Minecraft clones on Steam already lmao. What they need to do instead is release it on Nintendo consoles, cause you know... general audience...

It doesn't. I would know because I own a WiiU. I think there may be a knockoff but I wouldn't know nor care about that.

I don't think you understand what Minecraft is. The entire reason that Minecraft looks the way it does is so that you can terraform your world to be whatever you want. Can you imagine how some of those gigantic worlds would run if the game even looked like the original Half Life? Minecraft is entirely focused on gameplay instead of graphics.

Other than the guy that made a working display on Minecraft, that game is pretty terrible.

I erased a hyphen in this post 20 times trying to replace it with a space. Turns out, it was dirt on my monitor.
