It seems that every sequel is consolified nowadays. Like the original doom had deep gameplay mechanics and wasn't repetitive at all :D It is just the people crying over the hype they build up in their mind over the years.
Did you hear that the new Dark Souls is too easy and simplified? Some have stated this before the game is even out. Also same people didn't even participate to network stress test so they could have found out a bit out of the (still) work in progress version. Of the humor.
