I'm sure its not a pricing error. Look at how many copies they've sold. Compare that number with how few they would've sold otherwise, especially with the vastly superior JC2 on sale.

Its the same reason games get put in bundles. A small piece of a small pie is much better than a large piece of nothing.

But if it was deliberate, they would probably have put it for 95%. They usually go for multiples of 5.

96% is what you get if you apply 80% off twice (notice that Just Cause 2 and DLC are at 80%). Most things at 96% are accidents.

I'm sad I was too lazy to buy the Tomb Raider ones.. (I didn't think it was a glitch because it lasted for HOURS.)

I've bought quite a few of these. Not sure why though.... I imagine everyone and there mother is stocking up on them.

And Steamgifts wise. They will become a bundle game because they are over 95% on discount. There's going to be a huge shit storm soon I bet. "OMG WTF?!?!?!?! THIS WASN'T EVEN IN A BUNDLE!1111!!!!1!!!"

It doesn't really matter how automated it is, the failure rate is just plain silly and even though its great for us its actually pretty unprofessional. It's not hard to program safeguards against this sort of thing and its even worse that it takes them hours to even notice and fix the problem. Now yet another game is on the bundle list, dooming it to almost never be given away.

Not as much as they would be otherwise, you get the occasional person who doesn't care about CV and likes the game and also the slow trickle of people who saved the key/gift for later but other than that once a game is bundled people pretty much only give it away if its in a new bundle.
