Know you’ve done something here? Then that’s the reason you’re on the list.
If you want you can ask to be removed, either by replying here or if you want more privacy then anywhere on my Steam profile. If I don’t have the specific reason pinned down for why the asking person was blacklisted then I’ll remove you and let you know I’ve done so. I haven't cleaned up my blacklist in a loooong while anyway so there's pretty good odds you'd be removed from it.

I do know, thank you! I used to do that back in the day when it wasn't two-way. Most of my blacklisting was done a good while ago, haven't really done much of it in the last year or two. :)

It was in 2014, been hoping to see the auction make a return but looks like it never will, haha. And thank you!

Seven years ago Steam held an auction event prior to the winter sale where for the first time ever users were able to turn their unwanted inventory items into shiny gems and then use those to bid on a selection of games being auctioned off. The winning bid would receive a gift copy of the game, which you could then proceed to redeem or store in your inventory. There were several “rounds” of this auction for each game and the whole thing lasted for a few days. This event only happened on that one year but as we all know, the gems became a permanent feature and inventory gifts eventually disappeared.
Why is this auction relevant for me to mention? Well, it's because that auction is the very reason why I’m on Steamgifts! When the auction event started I was right there, browsing for any game that had the lowest possible bid and I really didn’t care what game it was, I just needed to win a game on the very first round. My winning bid ended up being a game called Samorost 2, which I had absolutely zero interest in keeping for myself. Nobody on my friends list was interested in it either, so I wondered what to do with it. After only a bit of looking around I learned about SG, which I had not heard about before, and figured this would be a great place to re-home the game. I was right and ended up sticking around.
I’m pretty sure SG is how I learned about bundle sites, at least I think that could be right, based on looking at my old Steam account activity. In the earlier days my games were mostly bought from Steam store or any keys I activated came with actual physical retail games. I only started having more key activations after I had joined here, fattening my library quite a bit from all the good deals. And giving a little bit away to the community here and there as well.
December 15th is my anniversary on the site and as you guessed this year I’m also hitting year seven! I didn’t do anything for the factory day last year so I decided to do a lil’ something this time around. I admit I briefly considered just doing a giveaway for seven copies of Samorost 2 but nah, people on the forums like trains, can’t show up here with just one game, right? Haha!
I present you with two short trains, seven games in both.
First train is ticketed at level 2 and the second at level 7.
Choo choo
Choo choo choo
Ps. And a joined thank you for everyone for the factory/cake day wishes! I know I won't be responding to each individually but all are appreciated, of course. ^^
