Is State of Decay worth it?

Heard it was really fun, nothing like Dayz or Warz though, single player game btw...

Watch out though, also heard its badly optimized, the new DLC looks neat though thats coming out, probably will pick it up myself come christmas sale.

Are there any people who have already played it?

It's a lot of fun. Nearing the end game it gets pretty repetitive as you do the same five random quests over and over while you wait for the final couple actual missions to appear, but until that point it's quite good. I never could find a bloody mechanic to repairs my cars though.

its just ok for one playthrough but has flaws.

came across lots of bugs, really easy once you figure out the game mechanics which doesn't take long, game constantly bugs you to save or help assist your idiot survivors and makes you scream "just let me do what the fuck i want to do". Although the biggest problem i have with it is that its all in realtime so when you turn the game off it continues on its own, sound cool?
its not, ive heard that you can return to dead survivors but since my morale bar was constantly maxed out (because its so easy) no one died but they would occasionally have gathered some more food and meds for individuals (not the entire group), not so bad?...

well there is also the fact that say you gather 300 of each bullet type and one off rare weapons in the map, if you turn the game off just for a second (which you will no doubt have to do because of bugs) and start again loading up your save, all your ammo goes down to 90 bullets regardless of how long the game was off for and the ass hole survivors will use and loose your one off rare weapons. that feature is complete bullshit. I had some awesome weapons i never got to use because of this.

basically you are punished for not playing the game and now they are selling a dlc mode that should be in the game to begin with.

you won't be missing anything if you don't play it. it really is just okay. the pro's didn't outweigh the flaws for me.

edit: I forgot to add that there really isn't many main story missions either and they are all pretty weak.

Not worth it if you'll be playing with mouse, at least for now. Aiming sucks.

I'd stay with WarZ, and State of Decay is single player only :/

State of Decay is an awesome game considering that it was created by relatively small studio. Grab it if you can but play on a xbox 360 controller. A lot more comfortable ;)

One of the best game about zombie survival at the moment. I recommended it and Breakdown DLC.

yes, its worth it. i have it on console. there are alot of bugs but the bugs dont make the game terrible or take away from the fun of the game. you basically grab materials, heal your teammates, scavenge, kill zombie hoards, relocate, switch players when they get too exhausted, & build up your crews strength. once your crew member has died, they are dead forever. you look for more people to join your flock & try & keep morale in your camp up. its a single player game only. i dont know how it fairs with keyboard & mouse, but it plays well with a controller. get it.

IMO just another zombie game... again. But if you like it it could be fun.

I played the demo on 360, liked it, said if it goes on sale I'm buying it.

Went on sale, saw LA Noire Complete even cheaper so I bought it instead.. Played it when it came out, loved it, and have wanted to play it again. Going to try to scrounge up the $10 to buy State. It's a good game for what it is, and I am hoping supporting these guys will result in an even better game in the future.

If you have a 360, download the demo and give it a go.

Nothing like Warz. Warz was a bunch of people killing people. State of Decay has alot of missions to do.

State Of Decay is more of a survival.. WarZ is more like killing.

Yes, it is worth it. Pardon me now, I have to go back to the game... so far 1000 zombies killes and only 1 survivor lost :D
