What about ignoring all the site? Or all the internet? Or all the planet? Yeah, let's ignore the planet because everyone is annoying. Even me with this reply. Ignore this reply too!
Now don't take this as irony, it's just a little sarcasm toward to the all ignore idea (but I guess you (ambidot) get it since I reply to you for a reason).
As for the suggestion, I'm strongly against it. Ignoring users so you can't see what they say it's too hostile for the standards of this site. At least this is the general picture I have of this site ecosystem.
Most of us here say that the community of SG is polite, generous, addict, heretic etc. Let's keep it that way and don't ignore each other.
If you don't like a thread just don't look at it.

Ignoring lists are so useless... you can just ignore someone you don't like. I do it in a lot of forums... it's not that hard. Learning self-control is a basic ability to live in the world.

I think it would help - that grey writing is not easy to notice at the best of times - well it is grey on my screen - not sure about in the plus versions people run - letting things drop off the radar would help to clear away the clutter and if people want to keep certain threads alive they could just bump with a reason and keep it alive :)

i didn't even know there was a backstory to this. i just meant in general skyrim is always the one tossed up when game mods are brought up. so when i heard mods and a game being liked or disliked, skyrim was first thought on my mind.. xD

Once I was told by a guy who bought FO4 on consoles that I'm a fucker for not buying and supporting the new FO4. (that I'm not sure how would run + the retarded dialogue system was an immediate deal breaker for that price. Also I don't spend 60€ on a game) Because not supporting it on PC will mean that developers will go onto consoles. Let it sink in. Someone bought it on consoles, then told me,who didn't feel the game worth the asking price that I HAVE to buy it on PC or I don't support the game and the dev and I don't deserve new bethesda games xD

lol, that's crazy. i like a lot of bethesda's games, but i don't believe in being a fan of any one developer really. any of them can make a few great titles, but that doesn't mean all of their titles will be good. i personally just couldn't get into fo4 on my first couple of trys. the story just wouldn't suck me in like its predecessors. i want to try it again eventually, but if i still don't get into it after another attempt i'll just give up.

I was so hyped about FO4 when it got announced then like in a horror movie *lightning cracks in the bacground* I realized that my favourite Fallout was the Obsidian-made NV, and likely Bethesda will drop the faction system and such that made the world more responsive. But I wouldn't have dare to even imagine that dialogue system and oversimplification :|

Scripts make a site better but aren't always readily available or known by all users. Why not incorporate the script into the site automatically to make functionality better?

I'd like to see it integrated, it would make it far easier to hide games of people who never make GAs for anything other than IndieGala / BundleStars, and for hiding comments of disruptive users.
I merely linked the script so that people who'd like to be able to do it now (we might never see certain functions added to SG after all) can do so.

I bumped it because I'd like to see it integrated and so people know how to block threads/hide threads from habitual liars, hypocrites and spammers.
At the minute, having to download a script is a temporary fix. It was either bump an old suggestion or start a new thread entirely, but people are getting triggered by multiple threads at the minute.

People are always getting triggered by this or that. I try to ignore them but some people are just damn hard to ignore.
I agree it's a temporary fix, but it's better than nothing right now. I'm not sure how long it takes on this website for a feature to be suggested, accepted, and finally implemented.

The White List is for people we like.
The Black List is for people we don't like.
The Ignore List is for people that keep flooding the discussions with lists and polls, or conspiracy theories, or annoy us in a different way that a black listing just doesn't solve.
