I didn't have time to write any comments (was stuck in a huge traffic while I voted, yay), so I will mention some of my favourites here...

4 - Bastion - I adore SuperGiant's style (how shocking, I know), so this entry immediately caught my eye. Great job with the colours! And of course the Bastion is the true protagonist of Bastion. :D

10 - Cuphead - I love that watercolour background, and Cuphead's little smug face.

11 - Hollow Knight - This one is simply epic. :D Nice effects and composition.

17 - Hollow Knight - This one is super cute. I'm not sure of the medium (thought it was digital, but maybe it's watercolour?), but whatever it is, the artist got some nice shading skills. :3

18 - Garrus - Turians are so hard for me to draw, so I'm jealous. :D Great work!

19 - Jade - I really like this style. It's a simple portrait, and yet it shows so much character.

26 - Hollow Knight & Ori - This is a cool idea! I would sit on that bench with them. Also, very nice linework.

28 - Dark Souls - The style reminds me of the Darkest Dungeon and that's very good. :) I would buy their album.

30 - Minesweeper - This one was an insta-vote for Space Invaders alone. :D Thanks for the nostalgia trip. And the pixel art's really nice too.

37 - Clementine - Great job with hard shading. And including Lee was an emotional punch, damn you. :D

Of course many others were great too, but this comment is already getting kinda huge... Well, good job again, everyone! See you next time.

This just in, from Statistics Cave...!
We just witnessed another great edition of SG Drawing Contest! After a record-breaking number of entries, many citizens had a hard time picking their favorites among all the amazing performances. But in the end, contestant number 6 rose to the top and murdered the competition ... fitting. In the second and third place, we can see the current trend and fad (but in very different renditions) - Hollow Knight! And barely missing the podium, contestant number 30, showing that retro has the power to fight with the modern times. The celebrations barely started, but some are already discussing the possibility of another edition in future...

To all people that are having doubts about participating; you've seen it is all in good fun, for most of us it is not about the vote, it is about challenging ourselves. Draw something you like, draw something you think is funny, draw something just for practice or because you're bored and put it out there, there are plenty of unanimous participants, and that is perfectly fine :)

i wanted to thank MBCoder for organizing this event and everyone who participated... and of course everyone who voted for me :D
... didnt think i would get that far.

i actually just recently started this whole digital drawing thing and i wasnt really drawing traditionally before that either (last time back in school which is already 15 years ago >.<).
just started an udemy course during this covid time. so far only drew 2 other pictures before this one, but both were guided by video instructions. so this one was my first time drawing something on my own. (took me about 15h from start to finish)
Kinda proud of myself that it turned out not too bad and other ppl are liking it. :)

btw... i just recently won Bastion here on SG and played through it. awesome game and lovely graphics. had a lot of fun playing it and i can only recommend it to everyone :D
