I know it isn't a steam game getting it off of the rockstar site like I did, but I'm having some trouble and I know some other people here have downloaded it this way. When I try to start it, an error message pops up.

error 296.473 cannot find default display mode

I've tried searching around for it online, but everything I'm finding is about using wine to run it and all of the fixes are, of course, for that instance. Has anyone else had this problem and do you have any way I can fix it? I miss this game and want to play it again.

it's not a steam game getting it off rockstar the way i did, it's just a computer game that way.

unless I can integrate it over to steam which would be awesome

I guess you can only add it as a non steam game, same way I did with my bf3

did you get it on steam? that's the only way it would count as a steam game isn't it? If it's the rockstar download, then it would have to be loaded as a non-steam game

Because you bought/activated GTA Complete pack?

It's the only way to get GAT1 + GTA2 on Steam, but they are now free anyway on the dev's site.
