Well yes, I would imagine that adding Dog Poop to your library would make a mess. But for gardening purpose, it might be nice to have some free dog poop. It's all about what use the free item has to you.

Sorry to take your cheeky comment and take it far too seriously for a moment, but I mean, there's no harm in having gameplay or story to go with the stuff you clear your browser history for!
Outing myself here, but I got HuniePop because I was craving the old tileswap addiction (in a moment of mourning for Puzzle Pirates, RIP). Then there are games like Baldr Sky which I got to scratch the visual novel itch while curious about its gameplay mechanics, and the adult scenes ended up being a rare distraction. Could have easily done without them. Though I did have to go looking for an uncensor patch to enable that content, which was thankfully cross-platform because I bought that on GOG. I do own GalGun though, and I'm not sure what it says about me that I enjoy it because I was trying to find alternate routes ala StarFox shooting the weird asteroids with faces on.
'Max Gentleman Sexy Business!' gets a big shout-out for being openly up front about it being entirely dumb humour, but also being rainbow flavoured with gently in-line "I'm not interested in that" options on a per-character / interaction basis. I never did get around to finishing that.
I mean, if not for the gameplay / story, wouldn't it be just like putting a bunch of hurdles and speedbumps in the way of what you really wanted? Let me wear a tophat and monocle so I can pretend I am distinguished, damnit!
