Don't get GOTY/Collection, it just comes with a bunch of expensive, useless DLC in my opinion. The core game is where it's all at! :D

4-packs work great too, because then you can play co-op with your buddies. You may as well get that then.

find someone you know who wants the game. get them the 4 pack, then have them give you 3 of them.

Only DLCs that are worth getting is the Viatnam one and the Party Robes. Viatnam because it's the only DLC to give more campaign levels with a new character with good starting items including a gun and party robes because 2 of the 3 characters are really useful.
