Not sure if this thread is appropriate for this forum, but I figured why not.

One of the keys I got from GamesPlanet a while back turned out to be already used when I tried trading it with someone.

I was wondering if other people have had similar experiences with keys from GamesPlanet? I am rather worried about this as I have a lot of keys from them for trading purposes. I had always assumed they were trustworthy, but now I have my doubts...

Never happened to me, is it possible you forgot and used it somewhere else? or your account was compromised?

Apparently it is not just a single key, it's multiple keys that have already been used. Both keys are for Castle of Illusion btw, they had a sale before it got delisted some months back.

Yes, I am sure I never used them. I don't think my account was compromised as I can still login just fine. So unless there has been a major leak that I haven't heard, there is something dodgy going on.

Here

This was Sega's doing and you need to talk to them about getting new keys.

Thanks, but this seems to involve games being revoked from people's libraries?

In my case the keys have already been used by someone else. It doesn't say invalid or anything, just duplicate.

Is it possible that the person you've traded with simply activated them on a different account?

I thought the same thing, so I tried using one of GamesPlanet's keys on a spare account and I got the same error message. So no scam.

I gave them a Humble Bundle key, and that one did work.

Oh, I see :/ Well, I never bought anything from them, so I cannot test it, but someone else probably could. I suggest, like many others already did suggest, write to Gamesplanet and check it all out if you already haven't.

Yeah, will contact GamesPlanet and see what they have to say about it. I just wanted to hear if other people had the same issue beforehand.

Thanks for the input!

Fair enough :) always better to hear people's experiences first.

Ah, you are welcome, but I've contributed with almost nothing :D Keep us posted tho!
