I bought a Logitech F310 Gamepad, and was hoping it would work with Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2.
Every time I start need for Speed, a message comes up saying that the gamepad can't be recognized.
Does anyone know how to get the gamepad to work with Need for Speed?

Thanks.

Whisper sweet things to it.

Naw, I'm kidding. Add me up on steam and I'll walk you through a way that may help.

Switch the gamepad to the other setting it has. Instead of Xbox 360 mode regular gamepad mode.

It will work. Ignore that message, just go in options and configure controls.

My family uses the F510, so I think I can help. Look on the underside of the controller. There is a switch with "X" and "D." If it does not recognize one way, switch it to the other. If that still does not work, go into the Gaming Profiler program and use it create simulated controls.

When I wanted to get my steering wheel to work with it, I needed to edit a text file, but I don't remember which one.

Download x360ce, it's a 360 gamepad emulator that consists of 3 or more small files (depending on the version) that you put in your game directory (the one with the game's main .exe), I use it with my cordless rumblepad 2 which is pretty much the same gamepad you have except the wireless thing :)

Best thing about this emulator is that you get the 360 button prompts in-game, instead of 12345... colorless prompts.
