Airline Tycoon 2 "Gold"

So with the latest Humble Weekly Bundle, comes Airline Tycoon 2 in the $1 tier. I notice a lot of cheeky people giving away the 'gold' edition. Brain malfunction? Pure coincidence? Cheeky attempt at avoiding the 'bundle' asterisk?
Regardless, I predict some fallout!

(find the hidden giveaway, bundled game but a pretty obscure one + $31 CV + ends in 3ish days)

EDIT: There is some news going around internet circles that the redeem page states Tycoon Gold but whether or not you get the normal retail key or the actual gold version varies between people. Some people are claiming they have the DLCs, others say they only have the regular copy added see here(not my pic)

Activated and including DLC whilst another user has no such luck (above screenshot also taken by second user with no DLC)

What a mess!

In their defense, Humble does list it as "Airline Tycoon 2: Gold Edition" on the redeem page, even though it doesn't include the DLC.

Yeah, seems odd. I'm now reading that some people have got the DLCs but others seemingly only activate the regular version see here

I figured this was probably the case.
Opened up a humble support ticket about 2 hours ago. (#46332) Just have to wait for them to get back to us.

Greetings,
Due to an error on the bundle download page, Airline Tycoon was mislabeled as Airline Tycoon 2: Gold Edition. If you check the promotion page for the Bundle you will see that the Kalypso 2 Bundle only contains the regular edition of Airline Tycoon 2; unfortunately we do not have the Gold Edition as part of this bundle.
We do apologize for the confusion. Please let us know if you need additional support.

Was pasted the same answer on my support ticket as well. Oh well. :)

But for a $1 bundle tier game that I'll never remember to play, I don't particularly need the DLC. :) Only benefit would have been if someone ever drops a bag of money on my head, and I wander through the steam store turning everything green... :)

If it mislabeled & they do not have the Gold Edition, how could some person still got the Gold with DLCs. Could do asking about that to them?

I asked out of curiosity when I got the earlier reply and received something just as generic.

After a more thorough examination, it appears to be all related to the mislabeling issue. All keys we received for this bundle for Airline Tycoon were for the standard edition of Airline Tycoon, however with so many users seeing Airline Tycoon: Gold Edition on their download pages it is creating a lot of confusion as a result.

I purchased the bundle day one. I got the DLC.

When I originally bought it, it didnt say gold edition, now it does.

I think they changed it, nowhere does it say gold edition for me, It does say gold for every other tier 1 game, so maybe that's where the issue lies? I'm happy with the normal edition as everything is extremely cheap as always. I guess the few that did get gold are just lucky.

Well what do you know...I already redeemed the gold edition and now it has disappeared from my Humble Bundle page and there's the regular edition instead, unredeemed :D

I redeemed it earlier when it said gold edition and it gave me just the base game. Now my Humble Bundle page says it's the regular edition and it's not redeemed.

When I redeemed mine it didn't say gold edition on the bundle page, but I got the base game + DLCs on my account and my account history does show the gold retail license. Now I too have another unredeemed key for the base game in place of the used one. Score!

Well, now I have a standard edition AT2 on my humple library page, after I all ready redeemed the GOLD version (yes I got dlc).

Maybe in retrospec, humble removed all gold versions and then added the standard versions, and if you all ready claimed the gold version before they did this, well then you got lucky enough to get gold AND a spare standard version.
