Where did you get the code from? What game? Maybe contact the game developer if you think there's a mistake.
But as far as I'm concerned you have to gift the winner a copy of the game they won. Well, don't have to but that's the only way they should mark it as received.

You can't gift him another game (winner could face a suspension for not activating his win). You have to give the game he won or he has to mark it as not received, there isn't really another option I think. You could always ask him to be patient till you have to money for it, it should be possible to get the game cheap from ST.

Source of the game?

I got the key from a trade but I trust the one who gave me it.
He said he never activated it. He also offered another key to make up for it but the problem is it is for another game.

Game isn't in your library you say?

I'd be trying code myself and running Fraps while I did it.

If the winner is understanding/sympathetic, and will agree to the deletion of the giveaway, send in a support ticket along with a screenshot of his agreement, or have him leave a comment on the giveaway page.

A "random stranger" gifted me the copy so that I could end up the giveaway.
