And here I tried for 4 days to buy the Mafia II DLC a couple weeks back. My PayPal kept getting declined and I couldn't figure it out. Finally after going through support it turns out it was because I had received a new credit card after the other one expired and I hadn't updated the security digits in PayPal. After I updated it I realized Mafia II had been pulled from stores 2 days prior. :'(

Well, I had no problems with giving my friend a voucher for XCom that I got last year and he bought game easily. Yet i remember I had some problems with that site, so either they changed something or alcapone226 is doing something wrong.

Yeah - just got to that bit. You have to pay but you get it back if you play the game. It looks like it is just to cut down on abuse like in previous awards where people were grabbing 30 keys each...

That's a form of rebate though, you still need to pay upfront for it.

Sure, your own copy would be "free" (if you decide to buy more stuff)...but if you would get a few extra games for giveaways, they won't be free, would they?

Say you buy 5 copies, you wouldn't get €5 GMG Credit for playing the only copy you redeem for yourself?

Edit: Better explain this in detail so no one else thinks I want free games to make giveaways of. From what it seems from this promotion, you can pay €1 for a copy for yourself, then start the game and get a €1 GMG Credit, hence the game being "free" for yourself. If you were to get additional copies (for giveaways) I can't see any way you get extra credit for them, so all copies you get for giveaways aren't free. For this reason it would be nice if the game was marked as bundled instead of free (since you pay €1 for each giveaway copy, same as many bundles), but it's not my decision to make.

It's only free if you keep the game for yourself. If you give it away, then you can't get the credits.

Still I think that admins overreacted. They should have just add it to bundle games with 15% CV like Deus Ex HR or Hitman Absolution.

GMG credit is a form of their store promotion. Its not a real cashback but like any other virtual currency. You can't pay out. Can be just used to buy (or most likely partially buy) another game. The way or another. GMG makes business with you :). They most likely still earn more money on the game you checkout even with the cashback in.

I guess you should , you won't find a better deal for it ... i bought it since it's just 1 euro and you get it back through playfire ... even tho i already beat the game on my xbox 360.
