About a week ago my Infinity Express event ended and so far I haven't been able to contact one of the winners.
I sent out the friend requests immediately after the giveaways ended and also sent the person in question an email friday noon to notify him of his win. Judging from his SG profile he seems like a decent user but hasn't been online here on SG for a week and not on steam for 9 days so I wouldn't mind giving him an extra week or so to accept his gift but I'm a little worried what happens if I don't mark the gift as sent within one week.

I could of course send the gift by email by sunday noon (which is when the 1 week timeline ends) but I'd prefer not doing that if there are no downsides to sending it over steam later. (as I also mentioned in the thread that all gifts will be delivered directly over steam)

So my main question is will I be able to mark a gift as sent even if the initial 1 week window has passed but I also appreciate other imput what would be the best way to handle this.

nothing happens if you don't mark sent. you can mark it as sent after a week. no biggie.
kudos to you for waiting. I would recommend to contact support for reroll after another week though.

Thanks for the quick answer. Yea it's summer so I supposed he's probably on holiday or only uses SG on the weekends.
Well if there is no downside unless he marks it not received I'll just give him another week before I ask support for a reroll with screens of the friend request and the email I sent. :D

nothing happens. he must say that he didn't recived game him won... if you contacted him and he is not responding, he is probably on vacation... like real vacation no VACation... just give him one more week than request for new winner

hmm well if he doesnt mark is as received in the meantime and he already sent the code? i remember someone saying that on the forum a while ago, might be wrong never had a situation like that

yea, but for support to mark it received winner has to activate it. they won't mark it if winner hasn't been online, even if week has passed

It's a gift and I haven't been able to send it yet since I'd rather send it directly over steam. (as I also mentioned in the event thread)
Code would be more problematic I guess if I had already added it in case I have to ask for a reroll. :D
