Can I find the app info with the key?

Hi! I just supposedly won "Magicka" on Indiegala, but when I try to activate it, I get the following message on Steam:

The product code you've entered requires ownership of another product before activation.

If you are trying to activate an expansion pack or downloadable content, please first activate the original game, then activate this additional content.
SteamDB - Install - Magicka Gamer Bundle

I assume that Steam is trying to tell me I need "Magicka Gamer Bundle" in order to install whatever the key unlocks (I'm assuming one of the DLC's), but the key was supposed to have the base game. If this is a DLC and I'm not able to activate it, I'd like to at least be able to give it away, but I don't really know what's in the key. Is there any way to find it out?

EDIT - Looks like the app info is for "Magicka Gamer Bundle", which is a DLC and not the base game. Thank you everyone for replying! Closed

I think ASF has that function. I can't really confirm, I haven't used it in quite some time
I think some users also posted (somewhere) another way to find out, but I can't really remember

there's the steamdb extension that does that, u try the key, and when it fails it shows what's the key for ,.

Or i you don't want install anything you can do this:

  • Go here: https://store.steampowered.com/account/registerkey
  • Open the dev console by pressing F12
  • Put your key and press the button to redeem the key
  • Go in the console in the "Network" tab
  • Double click on the line with method POST and /account/ajaxregisterkey
  • Search "line_items" and you should see the packageid and the description of the key

Aren't you already using it?

It's not Magica you got. It's the DLC Magicka Gamer Bundle
You do not own "Magicka" that's why you can't redeem it.
And it's literally called Magicka: Gamer Bundle

I was not entirely sure how to read that, or if that was part of the extension or regular Steam message. Thank you for confirming!
