Day 5 Night
Stopped by a random fruit stand on the way to Kochi City. We bought an entire giant bag of mikan for 250jpy (this was for the "ugly" looking ones I think).

Matcha ice cream monaka from FamilyMart.

After we got to the airbnb in Kochi, we just walked around a bit to the nearest supermarket. I wish we could get fish this fresh and cheap in the US

For fruits shipped to Japanese supermarkets and fruit and vegetable markets, "standards are decided" Therefore, "bad shape" can not be shipped, it is sold at a direct selling place or used in a processing plant.

"Even if it looks bad, the taste is delicious."🍊
However, for green things, we have to wait for a while.

I think this is a family fruit stand - they pick and sell the fruit themselves.

Oh, tell me about it. Fish where I live is so darn expensive, even though we're literally an island. And it don't look nowhere as clean as that :|
