Is there a way to message someone on steam without them adding you to friends list?

I erm sorta got banned from Group Buys because of something I forgot and wanted to appeal the ban somehow but I can't really do anything since I can't post in the group anymore.

Posting on their message wall if they allow it for Public. Otherwise no.
