I am just wondering if anyone has played this game and would consider buying it on steam. It was made back in 2002 and since then Fraxis Games have been sold to Take-Two Interactive (Bioshock, Borderlands).

I have been talking to 2k through their support and they said they would only consider putting it on steam if they could get at least 20000 sales, which they doubt such an old game could accomplish.

======================== UPDATE =================================

The staff i was emailing forwarded the issue onto the head project manager at 2k and they investigated their options. They discovered that when 2k games bought out Fraxis in 2005, EA games held onto the Sim Golf license effectively ending our chance at seeing a re-release.

I'm not going to attempt to contact EA.

Video to cheer you up

BUY! It's so good...

I have it on my shelf... And I will install it again. Watch me!

And seriously - I think that the people would buy it. This game is so original. Very different, yet enjoying!

Does it have pirates?

the only pirates involved with this game is the people who have to download it illegally due to EA's lack of confidence in their products.

They should put it through Greenlight. Best way to test if enough people would be interested in the game.

I played it way back when and I liked it. I think it should be put on Steam or at the very least Greenlight (where I'd upvote it)

Game is really great and I'd buy it as soon as it shows up on Steam.

I agree with 2k, but yes, it's a great game. I'd vote for it on Greenlight.

Never played it, but it looks like something I'd enjoy. Now go tell them to submit it to Greenlight if they're so damn scared of making money.

I play it from time to time, it has an special place on 4 Hard Disks!(PC, Laptop and 2 Backup) with a Collection of Mods and such things...a really nice game! And works without problems on Win7x64/Win8x64...

The only bad thing is that this game has only 640x480 as resolution, thats very bad for our time. It looks like crap on big monitors...and i would never think that 2k will work for a better resolution or some fixes or such things...

And! They will put it for ~10€/$ into the Steamstore(lets bet about that). And that will be way too much money. Just look at amazon or ebay or such sites...more than 5€/$ will be too much...

But...i would buy it :D ...for the right price it is an instant buy, just for my library because i would use my modded installation^^...
