Every user is tracked by their Steam ID, e.g. http://www.steamgifts.com/go/user/76561198035311026
Edit: Same is true for steamtrades: http://www.steamtrades.com/user/76561198035311026

Why not do the same to him until he stops being a massive dickwad?
idk, reporting people seems kinda infantile to me.

Not "almost". It literally has no moderation. They had put steamtrades into a different domain and just stopped caring about it. Tf2outpost has a better moderation (although I haven't used it for a long time), just saying. Steamtrades is only useful for the reputation system.

I feel they almost pulled a steam/valve kind of thing when people started complaining about the false/negative rep issue and pushed it to volunteers to fix. (Valve heard about people complaining about all of the unity-asset games/shovelware and created the curators system to force the problem to others to deal with).

the problem is no one wants to deal with trade reports, so they set up the site to be community moderated.
of course they gave people too much credit and removed a lot of restrictions so now anyone can join to scam or behave like an idiot without repercussions.
i only use it to find trades by well-known traders and the site works fine, but if i had to deal with angry users, scammers, lowballers and rude idiots i would definitely stop trading on st.

really, so why don't you strike down this section:
Remove reviews that...
Were left as revenge (e.g. 'User left a negative review on my profile, so I'm doing the same', 'Remove your negative review and I'll remove mine').
Are related to events that took place prior to a trade (e.g. 'Low offer, wasted my time', 'Didn't follow through with trade').
Contain inappropriate images or unnecessarily rude content.
Are not related to a trade (e.g. 'Does not like cats').
I guess I should leave negative rep for you and since you are all "grown up and won't get offended at everything" you won't say a word or reply back and try to get the negative rep removed for breaking these rules?

Nowhere in your post do you mention that he left a negative rep on your profile. That changes things completely.

He didn't leave negative rep for me, but I looked through his past trades and he left negative rep for anyone who didn't trade with him in the past, so I'm assuming that I'm going to look at my reputation one day and suddenly see a negative rep from him that I will have to contest

Hopefully the community will vote those reps down so they are removed.

I tried to report a user who has been continually swearing at people who decline his trades (C-word) and the system doesn't seem to have him. Also, it doesn't seem to have anyone who's username begins with a "WVi", which is pretty impressive, though it has me for some reason. Why does the system tag by username and not by steam id, steam URL, or steamgift/steamtrades profile? If someone changes their username, doesn't this circumvent the system entirely?
