A relative of mine is a grown up man who doesn`t know or understand anything about games or pc decided to buy pc and a gaming pad for his 10 years old boy. I persuaded him to that now i cannot be sure about the games i can recommend.

BL2 may get a little dark for a ten year old. For example, see this speculation on Krieg based on in-game content or quote from Handsome Jack:

"You see, this is what I don't get about you bad guys: You know the hero's gonna win, but you don't just die quickly. Example: This one guy in New Haven, right? City's burning, people are dying left and right, yadda, yadda, yadda... This jackhole rushes me with a spoon, A FRICKIN' SPOON! And I'm dying laughing, right? So I scoop out his stupid little eyeballs with it and his kids are all, 'WAAAAAAH!' And-ahahaha... I can't even... ahahahahah! He can't see where he's going, he's bumping into stuff and... I dunno, maybe you had to be there. The moral is: you're a total bitch."'

ESRB rates BL2 as Mature / 17+, which is between Teen (13 and up) and Adults Only. It may not come off that heavy due to not going for realism, but it seems closer to Army of Darkness splatstick than than Loony Toons slapstick.

this is krieg trailler , a psycho

it look really better than what it appear, it is really funny , of course if you get a random quote with out knowing the context it look bad , but new heaven is in borderlands 1

and for the "sexual content" http://borderlands.wikia.com/wiki/Crit -> trivia, there is nothing sexual in game

this is what the game is really about https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0wbPK336Z0

Here's the fixed Krieg trailer link. It's some of the best writing in BL2, but also appropriately labeled M/17+ for "Intense Violence" (again, not the worst rating - that would be AO for Adults Only).

Ratings try to look at things impartially. If you're into a game - and I've spend about 500 hours in the Borderlands setting - you tend not to notice things like the level of violence. Part of why there are ratings systems is that parents are concerned about a child becoming acclimatized to portrayals of violence. BL2 uses humor and its art style to make violence seem less disturbing. If it was live-action it would look like Sam Peckinpah's Salad Days.

Regarding the quote, it wasn't random: that was one of the first sections setting the tone for Handsome Jack as a violent, charismatic and humorous psychopath (just before he says he was going to call his pony "Piss-for-Brains" after you, but then settled on "Butt Stallion"). Over the course of the game (spoilers), you hear him strangle a Hyperion employee for mentioning how his daughter (who he's enslaved and experimented upon and who horribly killed Jack's wife), see the bloody aftermath of his having sent bandits to kill his own grandmother, and are told he tortured Tannis for the vault key.

As to the lack of sexual content, I'm not sure that Anthony Burch (head writer) is able to write sexually explicit material. He did work in some innuendo (Torg weapon prefixes and Moxxi dialog), but the sexual content tends to be 'adult situations' that you may let slip by (like Scooter being Moxxi's son by her father, and her violently breaking off from the Hodunks because the clan leader was going to make Moxxi's daughter Ellie 'clan wife'). Far and away though it's rating is based on its over the top violent content.

The game does have a content option that effectively turns it down to "T for Teen." I'm not saying it's a bad game, but going by the ratings guidelines, the unfiltered game goes beyond the guidelines for a "T" rating.

Trine's Series
Never Alone
Don't Starve Together (maybe a little "dark" and hard)
Saints Row (maybe a little, how can I say this, "inappropriate")...I play with my son when he was 12 years old.
All Lego games are fun too.

Hidden Folks is good for them to play together and it doesnt matter who you are or what your experience/interest is in.

I persuaded him to that now i cannot be sure about the games i can recommend.

I'd have recommended considering that first, but given that I'm a PC gaming advocate, I don't think that was wrong choice. I do think that the Switch and a general move toward laptops makes it a harder decision than before. A Switch plus $600 laptop might be a better buy than a $900 gaming laptop, for example, in part because it separates the gaming device from the homework device. As a storefront, I think if I had a 10 year old son, I might be more comfortable letting him shop off the Nintendo eShop or pick up cartridges from GameStop than go shopping on Steam.

As with any game recommendations, a big part of its going to depend on the individual, or in this case the individuals involved - both father and son, as you want both the son to enjoy the games and the father to approve, and perhaps play along with him. Given that gaming can be habit forming - as can game-collecting - one thing to consider is whether to build a big library of things to try out or treat games as something special and rare. I'm partial to buying bundles, myself, but as a side-effect, I find myself picking up things that are a good deal over games I think I would love, and leaving games I had waited to play in my backlog while I shop for other games. If I had a ten year old, I suspect I'd rather have him work toward getting one really good game for, say, a month, then enjoy that, rather than buy bundles the way I do.

That said, bundles and the indie games associated with them are in many ways a positive thing, and overall I want to be supportive of them. If your relative is unsure about what kind of games to get, Fanatical's Curve Pick & Mix bundle lets you choose one or more games at a significant discount. The pick and mix nature would allow him to avoid buying games he may not feel are appropriate (such as Serial Cleaner or Manual Samuel), unlike some other bundles. Some of the games available through this bundle he may want to consider are:

  • Explodemon (single player, rated E) - SNES/Megaman-like gameplay and overall Positive reviews on Steam, so that sounds like a good single-player timekiller.

  • The Little Acre, (single player, rated E) - This looks like it'd be a safe choice, but whether it's compatible with a 10 year old's interest depends on the 10 year old.

  • Pumped BMX (single player, rated E) - Seems like a safe option, though it is just a mobile port.

  • Jump Stars is rated E and offers local multiplayer, though ratings on it could be better.

  • Hue and Velocity Ultra are rated E, though not necessarily aimed at kids - you have to like their style of gameplay.

  • 10 Second Ninja and Stealth Bastard Deluxe/Stealth, Inc. 2 are rated Teen, but given the media kids consume today, I'd have a hard time saying no 10 year old should see/play these games. You'll die a lot from lasers, falls, getting crused, etc., in SBD and it's rather dark overall, but I don't think it's going to leave anyone traumatized.

None of the games are demanding, so even if this new system isn't a powerhouse, all this should be able to run on integrated graphics.

Regarding the other approach, I'd recommend researching games (this thread should help with leads) and picking a game or a select few games from the upcoming Steam sale. Note that other sites often offer deals in conjunction with Steam's sales, so even if the parent decides to get more than one game during this time, he can space them out so that the son doesn't take a rush of games for granted - he can buy them as keys and redeem them following good grades, as a birthday present, etc. (yet another reason Steam should have kept gifting to inventory).

  • Trine has been suggested several times above, seems like a good option, and usually gets very deeply discounted on Steam sales.
  • Ori and the Blind Forest is rated E - I haven't played it yet, but it does seem to have overwhelmingly positive reviews, both in the literal sense of steam's ratings and from what I've heard from people directly.
  • Rocket League offers split-screen local play, so you don't have to engage with the online community, if that's a concern.
  • Castle Crashers, Spelunky and Terraria are all rated T for Teen for violence/blood/crude humor, but if I were said parent, I don't think I'd be bent out of shape by their content, and they've all been very well received by reviewers.

Maybe I am a bit late, still there can't be enough suggestions ;)
Actually it is not that hard to find suiting games at all. There are a lot of simply or medium hard games even a lot of free, that are neither brutal nor very hard to play.

RiME is enjoyable even if you just watch and the puzzles can be solved together.
The Mysterious Cities of Gold Another nice puzzle with suited videos.
Day of the Tentacle Remastered Classic
Papo & Yo I love this one
AER Memories of Old Flying, exploring puzzle
Fugl Flying, exploring
Crazy Plant Shop is one I really enjoyed myself and is pretty suited by any means.
Everything Exploring.. maybe education...
Stacking Fun Puzzle

Other than that, a lot of small games always do offer fun - even older games. Thinking back, Myst or Lion King still do offer a lot of fun even at this time and age.

Another one that might help to get used to the controls a bit better Crayon Physics Deluxe
What about Octodad: Dadliest Catch Controls don't matter at all XD

In most cases it really is helpful to add some information about interest. We do have a lot of sports games, racing games. If he is more of a techi, what about those Car Mechanic games, or maybe House Flippers. You still got Facebook or kid suited sites that do offer flash game content without adds. The Sims would do as well, or free stuff like Open Transport Tycoon Deluxe. You can get so many non steam related games for free. There are still a lot of good RPG Maker games out there for free. Snes or Dos Emulator sites that offer those games to be played in a browser for free. Even looking at some Chinese Story (or cinematic) driven games might be an option.

Don't know if Rollers of the Realm has been mentioned, but my kids really enjoyed it, and it can even be played with two controllers (each player controlling one side, for example), even though it's not designed for this so the experience isn't great.

Assault Android Cactus ( https://store.steampowered.com/app/250110/Assault_Android_Cactus/ ) is a fun one, and it supports up to four players in local co-op.
