Why aren't console exclusives allowed? Seems like a weird limitation to me. I would have said Mario Odyssey, but I'll go with PUBG since I can't think of any other games off the top of my head that came out this year that I've played and are on PC.

Is it really that good?
I mean, from reviews i got the same impression i had watching gameplay and trailers- good idea and loops but the shooting seens really lackluster, guns look like they lack punch, enemies just coming at you...

Most gameplay vids I can find are from before the gunplay overhaul (that was patch 1.2). Weapon feedback is much better in the current version. The devs really have been hard at work at fixing all sorts of things and adding stuff since the game was launched. Enemies just coming at you - that's not entirely true either, as there's a decent variety in enemy behaviors. (especially later on in the game, when more enemy types get added) .
But the real strength of the game is in how it moves, especially when you get some movement upgrades, in the level design (predesigned rooms linked together with procedural generation), and how different the various roles/classes play. That's a bit harder to see in videos as well.

Anyway, long story short, I ended up liking this a lot more than I expected.

Good to know! I was excited by it but disapointed by reviews and impressions, another one to look out for :)
I had really high hopes(now re-ignited) that it can be the rogue-like fps ive been looking for- hopes i had for ziggurat, wich fell short of what it could've been

I bet Nier is a good contender but i can't really compare because i didn't bought/played yet.

Well I'll say Titan Quest: Ragnarök nothing mentioned about dlc in OP, It is fresh and new yet it's add-on on one of most underestimated games ever.
