maybe you might want to vote for something else :)

Haven't played Nier yet, so i'm gonna +1 here.

Im sure he's not your friend anymore.
He took it well ^^

Divinity: Original Sin 2.
+1 I'll yield to none.
Haven't played it, but watched a whole playthrough.
Lol I started posting in that one thread that is now closed, good thing I copy-pasted it beforehand...
Almost exclusively playing backlogged games but my vote is A Hat In Time because it does so so many things right, and I absolutely love its precision in paying attention to the little things to make the overall experience stellar (Hat Kid's facial/body expressions depending on area, her idle animations, her voice clips, the way she says 'Bye'/'Bye bye!' to the Badge Seller, her costume/palette changes, the randomness in her hub, camera mode, gameplay sections that require player input that are humorously referenced in later sections, random easter eggs/references to video games/popular culture, etc.). Did I mention that she has dedicated buttons for raspberries and blowing a kiss? Little things like that go a long way, I practically chain those in between moves/attacks now for style points lol.
It's just a superb game overall. It has:
Tight platforming controls that reward skill
Bundles of charm
Interesting boss battles
Humor (kid friendly... for the most part... but also satisfying for adults)
Solid voice acting (I thought world 2 was terrific... and then world 3 comes and somehow manages to have one of the BEST characters I've heard/seen in a game)
Creativity, with a surprisingly good mix of genres (3d platforming of course, but also stealth, mystery, horror... the horror especially catching people off-guard)
A fantastic, fantastic soundtrack spanning across genres. So many excellent tunes (Alpine Skyline, Main Theme, Toilet Of Doom, Barrel Battle, Clock Towers Beneath The Sea, Heating Up Mafia Town, Welcome To Mafia Town, Picture Perfect, Your Contract Has Expired, etc.)
Memorable characters (World 3 character has turned out to be one of my most favorite characters in all of video games, evil on the surface but is overall humorous and endearing, and with such a tragic, heartbreaking backstory)
PC: Mod support (only beta right now though). The possibilities are intriguing -- new hats, new costumes, new stages (and re-creations of stages from previously loved games)
Local co-op/online co-op coming soon per Kickstarter stretch goals
2 free upcoming dlcs, again per Kickstarter achieved stretch goals
XBox One and PS4 versions arriving at some point. Switch version tbd/unknown
Gears For Breakfast knocked it outta the park for their first game, support the game! And support the dev team so that they can continue to work on future projects. A promising start.
Nice! Thanks for the in-depth information!
No problem! Just doing my part to spread the word on this gem of a game :)
Since you started with LOL, I was like how can lol be goty? for a minute
+1, It's just like Dark Souls
+1 dont have it yet but i absolutely love the art!
I haven't played this yet but it's the most system shock-y of the brew. So have a +1
Someone mentioned this, previously, so you probably want to back up and +1 there, instead.
.hack//G.U. Last Recode
How's it play? I'm eyeing it but its a PS3 trilogy remastered and ported to the PC. I'm worried that it won't run properly.
Dishonored: Death of the Outsider
not taking this seriously :p
The last game that I really enjoyed play was Seasons after Fall but it's from 2016 :/
For this year I liked to play Sonic Mania because it bring back some good memories :D
+1 + Battle Royale mode
Life Is Strange: Before The Storm
Slaps and Beans! :D
Not out yet, but it should be released next month!
Official site, Kickstarter campaign page and recent updates about release.

I havent played it yet but its the only assassin creed that caught my eye after 3 and of course thats origins.
I though this series was dead af same for every ubisoft game for a really long time but this game really suprised me.
I've heard this from various people. That's why the game is on my wishlist. )
You know its a really assassin game if i am looking forward to play it. I hate ubisoft so much
Eff Teee Elll. :D
Great game, but not released in 2017 (at least the PC version is a lot older than that)
I'm aware. My contention is that FTL is the GOTY -- Every year. :D
