That's a pretty cool way to link a GA. But I think it's not working as inteded. Or is it normal that after clicking the banner I have to delete the signature part of the link to get to the GA?

I think you can. I remember somebody disguising a GA as a (broken) GIF or picure but if I remember correctly you have to use "open in a new tab" to open it then because it won't display as a picture of course.
But I think he was trying to do something slightly different... I haven't really played around with the Signature feature yet so I can't tell for sure.

I mainly just used the banner as an image, didn't really think about getting to the next giveaway like that. I put the giveaway code in the tooltip of the image.
