You need to buy the deluxe, gold and whatnot packages to have proper games. This is just trash (w.r.t. the affected games).
Something like https://store.steampowered.com/sub/338058/ is Far Cry 3 + Far Cry 5 + Far Cry New Dawn with some DLCs.
(Since Ubi is one of the publishers that like to make a confusing mess out of everything, it's safer to compare the DLCs available for a game with what's included in the store packages before you buy the more complex packages. SteamDB.)

Ok, good to know. I haven't played a single FC game except for Primal and it wasn't really for me. I bough a used copy of FC4 for the PS4 so i will try that at some point.

Isn't Ubisoft now disabling DLC and online access for older games? You shouldn't buy any deluxe versions or any separate DLCs. You won't be able to play them or multiplayer.

All publishers have always regularly taken down ancient online services. It's just very lazy that they don't unlock all DLC content for all game owners or something like that.
If you want it guaranteed that nothing can get taken away from you, you need to play those pesky truly-offline-only games without any service/DRM/DLC/online components, and/or 🏴☠️🦜.

Valve hasn't. You can still play Half-Life 2 Deathmatch. Anyway I was replying to your comment about buying deluxe version of Ubisoft games. They disabled online services which includes verifying DLC content. If you buy deluxe versions that include DLC it's a waste of money because they won't let you access those DLCs anymore.
So a game like Far Cry 3 won't have multiplayer anymore and you can't access the DLC content. It's a waste to pay for the DLC.
