Hey everyone

I have a bunch of game gifts on steam that I would like to use in a giveaway on this website but I dont know how to get the keys from these games, so im wondering if its possible to include that game straight from my library?
If anyone could provide me some information on how to do this (if its possible).. or is it only possible making giveaways with keys?

I saw the "gift" option but I also read "You can also select gift if you wish to add keys after the giveaway ends, rather than now.".. Im kinda lost with this one aswell.. any info what this exactly means?

Thanks in advance and my appologies if my english is a bit off

Edit: I mean inventory, not library, my mistake appologies

Thanks everyone for been friendly, fast and helpfull! All info I need has been given, have a nice day!

You can't get the keys from them, You can add the winner and send them as a gift or send it to their email address. I've done that in the past.

So basicly I make just a giveaway like I did with keys but I select gift this time? Maybe mention in discription aswell?
But what do I say? That they need to add me or I will add him/her?

I want to be sure before I do this because I dont want to get in trouble and be banned on this website for a simple mistake I would happen to make, i like this website would be sad

One more question.. do you also get points to level up if you do it this way? or is that only for giveaways with keys? caus im doing this for level boosting

You get points for either way. But the points depend on if the game was bundled or not. Bundled games give fewer points.

You don't need to. When the giveaway ends, you will have access to the winner's email. Simply click "send" on your gift in your inventory, choose to send the gift by email, and input the winner's email address.

Just to be clear, you can't give away games from your library, but you can those from your inventory

you can't gift from your library. either buy/trade a game > add game to inventory, or buy keys from 3rd party sites.

key/gift option, you can add a key to instantly send it through steamgifts instead of adding that person later on steam.

btw, it's safer to deal with gifts since you have a history of sent gifts in case the winner tries to cheat you (not activating it).

Your question has been answered, but there's a thing you should keep in mind:
a few of the gifts in your inventory are games banned from giveaways here, because they were available for free in the past (Absconding Zatwor and Goocubelets 1 & 2).
Since you're new here, you might want to take a look at this: https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/dsq6C/discussions-that-should-never-go-away-aka-sg-bookmarks

Thanks good that you tell me this caus I was planning on adding them aswell, so basicly if I get you, ANY free game you can get from giveaways etc.. are forbidden to give away here? Or is this only for a few? Or is there a list to track down what game is banned or not? Or does this website tells me that I cant use that game when I try to make the giveaway with a banned game?

Sorry for all questions but I better ask and play safe then just gamble and get banned :X

There isn't an official list for banned games, but when you type them in the bar when making a giveaway they won't come up.
Basically, the gist is that once a game has been available for free in huge quantities somewhere (like gleam.io), people might want to use those keys to exploit the contributor system, so they cannot be given here (even if bought from a store).

There's an unofficial list of banned games, it relies on users' contributions, but it's pretty accurate:
http://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/pJRbR/can-we-have-a-list-of-games-that-cannot-be-created-as-giveaway-unofficial-list-inside

Up-to-date news about free games can be found on https://www.reddit.com/r/FreeGamesOnSteam/

Of course, staff members are people with real lives outside Steam Gifts, so it takes a while for free games to be banned.
During this time, a lot of people try to cheat the system by making giveaways for those free games, but when the staff eventually do it, they also have to delete all these giveaways (and suspend those users who were willingly breaking the rules).

Aaah thats why yesterday "enclave" and "gorky 17" didnt show up when I tried to give them away (I did get em via a bundle on bundlestars) but now I understand why I could not find it... this clears a lot now hahah
I did eventually end up trading them with a friend for other games so win/win :P

Thanks for the link, I bookmarked it, that list is quite huge oh my, the reddit link I already had saved but thx anyway
Okay so now I totally get this, thanks a lot and everyone else thanks too, you guys are really friendly and helpfull!

Edit: saw you edit when I posted, thats understandable from the admin point of view, thats why I prefer asked first and play safe because I dont want to be banned from this site so yeah

Have a nice day

Glad to have been helpful! It's rare to see new users so nice and reasonable in the forum, most of the times they just come here to rant about not being able to exploit the system (or having been suspended).
Also, as an extra tip, I'd suggest you to use this extension (if you don't have it already): http://www.enhancedsteam.com/
It makes it easier to detect scammers, among its many useful features.

Actually, games given for free on Steam are not banned from giveaways (unless given somewhere else too, like Limbo), as they directly add them to people's accounts, rather than giving keys. A few examples are Left 4 Dead 2, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, and Race the Sun.
