Ah, ok then, the original title was a bit misleading but I see you've changed it. I was just giving you a heads up because I've seen users getting suspended over threads like these sometimes.

Please note that you cannot require or even ask for any comments on your steam profile [prior to delivery of key, at least- you can theoretically ask after providing the key, or if you're making the offer within a giveaway on SG; Rule exceptions on SG come across a bit weird sometimes], or it isn't free and instead classified as a trade.

Any kind of reputation or presence boost (be it on Steam profile or steam review or social media or so forth) is considered a payment through advertisment and therefore not only a trade, but also potentially against both SG and even potentially Steam rules.


Please also note that that steam profie rep farming is a really gross behavior pretty much exclusively associated with scammers (all other traders use dedicated trading sites for trade feedback, instead), so regardless of your own personal motivations for the practice (since your replies above and below do seem to indicate that's something you're doing), a site dedicated to (and thereby familiar with and opinionated towards) Steam practices probably isn't the best place for promoting the behavior- at least, if you want to avoid criticisms (again, whether they're warranted or not; I'm sincerely trying to give advice here, and nothing here is itself intended as criticism).

That is to say, there's no need to take such criticisms to heart (if you don't feel they're justified- and in that case, kudos for giving things away for free, regardless of any specifics involved) but, at the same time, do accept you'll need to be able to take such criticisms without snapping back, as they're an expected response to such topics, and quite reasonable in premise.

Of course, if you're not at any point actually asking for rep during this process, then I'd suggest editing a mention of "completely free, no rep or anything needed" into your thread topic (you can edit using the green "open" in the top right corner), as an attempt to shut down what would then be pretty off-topic replies (and potentially even a violation of the site's calling out rules, if users remain overly persistant on the matter).
