What keeps me coming back after all these years is the happy and sometimes very funny bunch of international individuals of all ages that make this community and their sometimes hilarious dialogues. And cat gifs. And the deals section ;)

My first year was pretty similar. Met some good people. Enjoyed some great events like PAGYWOSG and PoP. Community train was interesting,
Joined a few discord channels and had some fun playing some of my wins :) Do you have a favorite SG win? My favorite SG win so far is Yakuza 0, because of the hilarious side quests and engaging main plot. Do you have a favorite game you gave away? My favorite game I gave away is probably my first giveaway Death Road to Canada, because of all the rare guest game characters from other franchises. Hope to give away more of my favorite games and games.
Discovered the deals section and all the other sites that sell bundles of games. Began buying games just to gift, because well I can't just take a cookie and not replenish the jar 😅

My year was mostly slow until near the end, I hadn't looked for SG groups and just by public GAs for the most part of the time, I didn't feel invested.
This changed when I found a few private groups, started with Playing Appreciated whom I was grateful for being a lax group with recruitment, it encouraged me to give a decent try to the games I won.
Then I found Quality Games Giveaway, they are a tight knit group with very nice and generous people. I got to know some of them better and love the group very much.
Recently I even chanced to find the "Play a game event", now hosted by samwise(previously by MouseWithBeer), whom I admire greatly for their painstaking efforts before and now with the event and I feel like I've come full circle, finding mediums that worked for me to win and give games, participate in events that motivated me to play what I win and see familiar names on these threads.
All in all, the active participants of these forums are great people and I like it here very much. I'd be long gone if I was still just going by public GAs given the impolite people that end up winning games more often than not.

My first year included a massive Touhou Spring Giveaway Crack-the-code Event, and during this I made the acquaintance of a couple of wonderful guys. Then, I joined a few discord servers that were focused around SG. The Community train that year was special, and there were other highlights. 😁

I'm addicted to winning, checking the site, looking for cheap games, pricing and guessing at bundles, getting an andrenal spike at controversial discussions. When I lose a bit of self control I say what's on my mind. This site is my Mr. Hyde. But it's the price y'all pay for my three hundred and some free games.

I am enjoying both giving away games and receiving games in return. I just like the idea of being around people who are kind and generous, who like to share the things that we are all passionate about: whether it's just buying and giving away games, or playing those games as well. I have been able to discover some games I would have otherwise never come across in my time here at SG. I enjoy playing my wins too, so it's been a blast. I am not too social and haven't really had any extensive conversations with the people here, but I like to butt in every once in a while with a silly remark. Aside from that, people here seem most well-informed about important changes to games and/or sites I care about, so it's a good way for me to get my gaming news. :D Happy cake day and nice trains!

For me it's been more interesting than I expected, and one thing that called my attention a lot was the PAGYWOSG event ran by MouseWithBeer and now samwise84. Other good stuff was the community train (I think there's another one coming up soon) and the christmas presents thing.
In any case, here's to another year :)
