Very true, my first win was a public giveaway, around 100 or so entered.

Same. After my first win, I didn't have another win for a month and a half, and then suddenly won multiple in the span of a week. It's all luck! I've won a 700 and a 900 person giveaway, so I think I happen to be one of the luckier individuals.

Yeah, I won the first or second (not sure about that) giveaway I entered... True that it was long time ago and back then, only about 200 people entered public giveaways (now its usually more than 1000).

Look at the giveaways you usually enter. How many entries do they usually get?
There are your odds. Not hard to calculate what your chances are by looking at your past giveaway entries.

It's all random however, some people have won multiple times in less then a week. Some people have been here since the site first opened and there were less then a hundred entries for even the most popular items and still haven't won after 600+ entries.

Yeah I don't know. I look at the winners sometimes and some of them have less than 50 entries. Not really sure how the luck works.

I guess if you wanted a forumla you could go with: average amount of entries per giveaway/amount of giveaway which would give your overall chance of winning any giveaways and then times it by whatever until you get to 100% and that would be the average amount of giveaways people enter before they win.

Of course being that it is all random so you could win your first time or never so all this would do is give you hope of a win by the time you enter that amount of giveaways.

i got lucky, i think after about 12 i won. its been about 40 or so more, and i have not won again. not that i am expecting to win again anytime soon.

At the moment, the odds are you'll win 1 out of 247 entries. However, we have some users with 300+ and no wins, and others that have won on their first try.

Edit: As for private giveaways, there's been 1,025 with greater than one entry, and they provide odds of winning 1 out of 25.
