Free 0.5g (~$18 USD) in BitGold

Seems to be another online currency - this one tied to the price of gold. Similar to Stellars from a year ago.

You can add money by bitcoin.

I believe they are looking at adding withdrawals in BTC at a future date, so might be a way to get some exposure to the (increasingly) cheap price of gold.

Some users are reporting 0.25g of gold or 0.025g of gold. Firstly ensure you are on an Australian IP address, it appears those using an overseas IP address may only receive 0.25g. Secondly ensure you properly verify your account, it appears unverified accounts may only receive the 0.025g amount. The terms on the website state 0.25g, meaning the 0.5g amount may be both limited in time (or have already ended) and also appears only available to AU users.
