How do you balance gaming with other life responsibilities?

View Results
Strict schedule or time limitations for gaming
Gaming as a reward for completing tasks
Responsibilities always take priority over gaming
Gaming comes first, but I tackle other responsibilities afterward
Other (please specify)

I don't really have life responsibilities, so yea...

(I'm the very definition of a NEET)

People with responsibilities evidently don't take the time to leave a comment but can vote on the poll 😆

I kinda put off both job and school responsibilities until they disappear on their own (that sometimes actually happen) or do it just before the hard deadline. If it's soft deadline I also tend to ignore it. I always think I'm gonna get a lot of work done during weekend but always end up lying in bed for lot longer than I should have. Also I don't game as much as I did before, now I just enter giveaways/raffles, buy/sell trading cards and doing other daily "fake" tasks on Duolingo, AWA, AStats and so on. I probably overshared as it is, so I'll leave it at that.

i dropped out of school in 11th grade just to become a full time stay at home son, im 35 now and have spent about 15 to 18 hours a day on my computer gaming since then,

i got 40,000 hours in games on steam. 60,000 hours in world of warcraft, (when i do /played in WoW i have 3 years of active play time on my main character lol.) 20,000 hours in maplestory, almost 20,000 hours in runescape, about 10,000 hours in genshin impact. not to mention the countless hours in console games.

so thats almost 20 years of my life devoted to just gaming and those arnt even close to all the games ive played lol
im not ashamed about it. i love it
the only thing i regret is that i didnt become a streamer 10+ years ago. cuz i bet i could have made some money over time from it haha

why would you play games in actuality, when you can game vicariously via youtube, podcasts, reddit, this literal website, tinkering with emulation and frontends and imagining playing through games?? I don't get it.
