what a nice extreme region-lock. i would rather go to my friend's house and give him money so he buys a game than gift it via origin....

Considering I play games with people worldwide... Only being able to gift to people in my country doesn't make it an appealing feature. Especially not being able to gift to someone 4 hours away from me because of a border.

Nice, I always buy games from Origin so a gifting feature is awesome. Especially a region locked one. /s

While regionlock sucks since most of my gaming friends are outside my country, its better than nothing.

I wish there was a option like "buy a discounted regionlocked game OR buy a game without regionlock at the same price its being sold in other countries".

Wait... I'd need that for friends I only know over the Internet - which are most likely not from the same country. Because most of the friends I'd gift a game and live in the same country I know in real life and it's much easier to go to a store and buy it for them there so the function is kinda useless. Am I right?
